It was a wonderful place to stay to attend a family wedding in Aptos, CA.

There was a different breakfast menu everyday.

There is a big difference between accessible and handicapped.

The bathroom was not good for handicapped. The roll in shower was slippery. It is getting almost impossible for a handicapped person to travel.

Lots of drinking and partying in the parking lot.

Good location less than 5 min from the event we attended. The price was comparable to Holiday Inn.

The hotel is now dated in comparison to the photos on the site. The breakfast was less than acceptable in comparison to a holiday inn or Marriott. The other guests from the adjoining door (unaware of at time of booking) were loud. Will not be back there are better options at comparable prices without suffering the breakfast and stay and other issues.

I like that it’s close to the Beach.

The property isn’t bad there are some things that turned me off. The bathroom could use some updating for example the shower head/latch that turns the shower head wasn’t working properly and then one of the sheets on our bed had a blood stain on it. Which makes me wonder if it was washed at all? Staff should throughly check and inspect sheets. Blood is a biohazard.

Needs a serious upgrade in the bathrooms (mold, deteriorated fixtures, cracked sink), common areas are lackluster, no gym or spa, and housekeeping didn’t supply the room with enough toiletries or towels for our family of 4.

they had a maintenance person out doing noisy work for a few hours which interrupted my sleep and quiet enjoyment.

It was a nice facility with comfortable beds and pillows. It was clean and the staff were helpful.

As a diabetic, there was only carbs and no protein for breakfast.. Every day there were either eggs or ham or sausage on the menu except Sunday. Thank goodness that I brought a protein drink or I would have had nothing to eat. With that said, my spouse enjoyed the breakfast.

Either have the menu available ahead of time or make sure that there is some kind of protein available everyday.

Not 300ft from the beach must read this review

Not too far from the beach

It is deceiving about how close the beach was to the hotel it says 300ft or football field that's walking distance even if you carried your stuff but you can't go through the resort that is blocking the access and you have to walk or drive around closer to a half a mile to Marina state park beach. And again it's not 300ft from the beach that was one of the reasons I got the hotel. I should have googled it.

The area, it was not beachfront and there was a few illegal activities taking place. Not safe for children at all. The property is ill managed, very unprofessional and run down. The rooms were not soundproof and the freeway is extremely loud.

Drug deals in parking lot, it’s all false advertising, DEFINITELY NOT BEACHFRONT! ROOMS WERE NOT QUIET AS ADVERTISED, STAFF WAS DRINKING ON THEIR BREAK IN THE PARKING LOT! We tried to check out 15 mins after we checked in and were told NO! booking even called to ask for any exception and they told them NO !! I tripped over a loose cord under the bed and fell !! When we contacted the manager he swore up and down he never posted the fact it’s beachfront!!!

The floor in our room needed to be swept. When I got into the shower the amount of dirt on my soles from walking around the room barefoot was appalling. The hot was was extremely poor. The hotel staff said you had to adjust the shower valve a certain way. Regrettably our efforts to get enough hot water to shower in were the equivalent to shower with a garden hose heated by the sun.

Loved being so close to the beach. Love Monterey!

Breakfast was great. The staff was great. Bed was very comfortable.

When we got to our original room, there was food and cans everywhere. The bed was made but the pillows were out of place like someone laid there to watch tv. When we complained, the staff quickly upgraded us to a better room. Only thing was neither room had a closet or rod to hang anything up.

The location is great, close to the beach. Parking is not a problem. Area is nice, safe, clean.

It's very close to the highway and you can hear the traffic during the day and night. Luckily, during the night the traffic is light. It's probably better to reserve a room towards the beach.

Value for money

We had a great experience staying at Best Western at Marina. I have stayed at Best Western hotels at other places as well and always felt good experience and thus wanted to try out at Marina. The room was clean and staff were friendly. The best part is that the beach is just 5 min walking distance from the hotel. This is also one of the best spots for witnessing a breathtaking sunset. I would recommend my friends and family to try out Best Western.

Breakfast had good variety of food. Scrambled eggs were good. Rooms were clean. Staff was very accommodating in trying to find connecting rooms during check in.

Would have like connecting rooms instead of next door. We were almost next to the freeway, and you could see and hear the traffic, but when the door was closed you couldn't hear the traffic.

I liked the proximity to the beach.

The bathroom floor and tub were dirty. After advising the clerk, they assured me that the manager for housekeeping would be made aware. Even then, those issues were never resolved. Also during my stay, the sheets never got changed until just before the last day. I had to go to the front desk to get toilet paper, because that wasn't restocked. To spend over $200 per night (after taxes and fees), I would expect better accommodations. This was very disappointing, and I won't likely stay there in the future.

Superb

I loved how close to the beach it was. Easy 5 to 10 min stroll. We even were provided hot chocolate after a cold evening walk on the beach. The staff were very happy and helpful. Would definitely visit again.

Over priced for an old run down motel.

Falsely advertised that it was on the beach. It is not. It is over priced. The rooms are old, especially the bathrooms. There is water damage and mold that has been painted over.
