Location is incredible. The views are spectacular. My favorite part is how somehow, you manage to feel at “home”. Truly. Then you look out the window and it’s a little surreal. No uncomfortable stuffy hotel feeling. I felt at ease in minutes, lacked nothing for convenience. I’ve seen the city many different ways, and this is by very far my favorite.
This box is merely more room for compliments. Forgot something? Take the elevator down and go next door to Jewel. Don’t overpack there’s a washer and dryer. You can’t hear your neighbors.

The location was great.
The bed was comfortable.
It was nice and bright and spacious
The kitchen had all the proper utensils
The lobby is shabby. Pay more attention to the other reviews which I unfortunately did not. This is a residential building and the proprietors try to disguise. They impose all these rules before you even arrive and insist that if you do not print off your permit you will not be able to enter the building. There is way to much contact before you arrive bordering on harassment. The photos are not reflective of the accommodation as it is dated. Plus one of the reasons I booked it was for a balcony to smoke on which I discovered upon arrival was prohibited. There is no outside furniture which makes it seem pointless having a balcony. If you are considering booking this accommodation make sure to view other options as you can definitely find somewhere way nicer for a similar price

The owners were great communicators and were very gracious hosts. The condo was immaculate and had a view that was incredible. The space was perfect for my wife, toddler and I.

The apartment was comfortable with an amazing view over the skyline, which was particularly impressive at night. It was not exactly the same as the photo (which I suspect is a bigger one), but it was pretty amazing. The location was perfect for accessing all sorts of amenities and for tourism. The restaurants were better in the immediate locality than even in the magnificent mile. The host was lovely and very accommodating. The apartment is well equipped with a good kitchen, a large washing machine and an efficient dryer. All of these came in handy as I came to participate in the Chicago marathon.
Our penthouse was not a two storey one like in the photo, but it was good. What we found is that it wasn't really ideal for 3 people and one of our friends had to go somewhere else to have privacy of her own room. Although there is a comfy sofa bed, if all members of your party need privacy of their own room, I would not recommend a one bed apparent for more than a couple (or a family) even though it is listed as accommodating up to 4 people. Also, if anyone is travelling by train from the airport, bear in mind that there are two Grand stations. One is on the blue line (the line that goes to the airport) and one is on the red line (almost directly underneath the apartment). It would have been useful to be told in the (otherwise very detailed instructions) that one needs to change at Jackson to the red line to alight at the correct Grand station.

Very spacious and a stunning view of Chicago. The host paid attention to minor details like dried goods, chargers, cotton buds. It had a washing machine and dryer aswell. The host was very approachable and helpful.
Could have done with a slightly bigger bed and an electrical kettle for making hot drinks.

Great location, fabulous views, well equipped apartment. Great community facilities with well equipped fitness center, pool, sauna, etc.
Apartment is very nice, building and common areas are quite dated and could do with a fresh layer of paint

Hello. Our experience was unpleasant because of the owners' conduct, and there are rules or inconveniences that make the stay difficult. If you read other reviews, you will see that the owner seems to make unusual or untruthful statements. When I left a review on google reviews, the owner left a response stating that I didn't try to tip the doorman when checking out. This is false and the owner knew this is false. We told the doorman immediately that we were happy with his service and were happy to give a tip. We don't know why the owner was dishonest about this detail, but it's a weird sign. As for the apartment, there are some inconveniences. The pull-out sofa bed is very uncomfortable and short — my feet dangled off the end, even though I'm only 5'10". The owner responded to us that all pull-out beds are like this, but this isn't true. All other sofabeds we used on our vacation were fine. For an apartment that is $365 a night, this second bed should be a lot better. Secondly, there are a lot of rules to follow. You can't check in unless you printed out a special piece of paper beforehand. If you forget to bring the paper, you can't enter. And the day before checkout, there are many instructions sent by email related to how you must leave the place to avoid a fine. The email states 6 times that checkout is at 10 a.m. There were about 9 other rules to follow in the email before leaving. If you want to store your luggage for a few hours, the owners tell you in a separate email to tip the doorman "very generously." When I asked the owner if she could help coordinate this tip with my credit card or a digital payment, she responded rudely and offered no help. We kept in regular contact with the doorman to make sure he received a tip because he is a nice and helpful guy. But I can't recommend this place.

Very well appointed apartment. It had everything we needed for a 10 day stay. The owners were excellent with their communications before, during, and after our stay. They also provided us with tips and hints for things to do whilst we were there. We would definitely return.
Really nothing that could have been improved during our stay.

Great apartment with everything you can ask for.
We felt directly at home and enjoyed our one-week stay.
The place is centrally located walking distance from grocery stores, shopping malls, the riverside and even Navy Pier (a bit further but still walkable).
The 9th floor has a great rooftop pool and a nice gym.
I can't think of anything. It was really a great stay.
If I ever come back to Chicago I will book again there.

Firstly the view was insane. I could actually see world renowned architecture staring back at me. And at night, absolutely stunning! I could sit and watch the inspiring light show Chicago had to offer. I loved that everything you could think of was supplied, from washing powder (smelt amazing) to coffee machine, filters, tea and every spice imaginable. The place was exceptionally clean with fresh flowers places around. Had a lovely welcoming aesthetic and felt like home for the time we stayed.
The steer was quite loud even from the 52 floor as Chicago police love to use their sirens. I’d also suggest some block out blinds throughout as opposed to the ones they have.

The location is perfect, and the hosts were fantastic-friendly, responsive, and helpful. The apartment itself is clean, beautifully furnished, spacious and comfortable. We especially loved the exceptional city and sunset views from the balcony, along with the well-equipped and thoughtfully designed facilities. We would absolutely stay here again.

Very nicely appointed, clean and comfortable apartment in a very convenient location. Especially liked the penthouse view of the city, the fireplace and grocery store next door.
The make up mirror in bathroom is like a Funhouse mirror. 🤪

This apt is tastefully decorated, and it has views for sunrise, sunset, lake view, city day and night view, and fireworks from the navel peer.

Our 5-day stay at this wonderful glass home was really special. Everything has been just perfect. We enjoyed the stay very much, admired the fantastic view, and found everything we needed, while attanding aninternational cancer congress in town.

Great apartment and conveniently located. Was exactly what we needed for this trip. Apartment is clean and had everything we needed.
Was slightly more expensive that expected for the apartment. But also understand that it was marathon weekend so made sense for the prices to be higher than expected.

We stayed on an apartment on the 52nd floor of the GrandPlaza. The apartment was fantastic with great views over Chicago city. It was superbly equipped ,spotlessand well appointed. The apartment provides access to a pool ,gym ,walking track and etc. The apartment had cleaning products and a small supply of goods to get you underway. The beds were very comfortable
The apartment is well positioned next to the underground train station.Lots of outstanding eateries nearby.
The booking was dealt with by email. Jim and Jeri- Lou sent welcoming email with lots of details. The check in was seamless and we were made very welcome by the concierge.
A big thanks to Jim and Jeri- Lou for the use of their apartment.

Location, location, location, can walk everywhere central from here and restaurants in the area are fab!
Spending time on the 52nd floor in Chicago was a cool experience and great lake views.
The building facilities are superb and available, pool, party room, pool table, business facilities (there are more just did not get around to trying them all.
The apartment is really well equipped and the attention to detail as such is much appreciated. (had all kitchen and bathroom facilities that you need and some you did not even realise are needed)
Elevator (1 of 2 available for my floor) was broken the whole 4 days.I let the owner know and he responded (appreciate that!) to say spare parts are tricky (Ukraine and Covid), but the extra time needed to get up and down the building was deeply frustrating and cost me 10 mins on each trip out each way so I recorded 45 mins per day (over 4 days).
Furnishings a little dated and worn, brown furniture needs updating.
Towels, threadbare and not soft.
Sofa bed very uncomfortable and old.
TV only had limited channels as pay per view was not available.
The multitude of emails was over the top and tipped into annoying. The use of (shouty) capitals and notes in the apartment and repeated emails were not friendly.
The check in and check out times are very restrictive. If you are paying a high daily rate you expect access for 24 hours not 4pm to 9am. No availability for a late check-out which forced me to pay for an extra night (ie 25% surcharge) due to evening flight home.
Due to crazy check-out time and lift waiting and late check-in I lost 10 hours , which is 10% less than expected(if assume you have use for 24 hours which is implied in daily rate) over 4 days and it cost me an extra 25% as had to book extra night for late check out. So 35% of the total price I paid was down to lift waiting times, checkin/out and extra day that had to be paid for even though I did not stay, a bit much! Yes I like numbers but I was shocked.
Sep 2022. I still have not received my booking deposit from the owners. To be transparent there was an issue m in that an old credit card was used to make the booking and this was the one used by the owners to repay the deposit. However I have contacted the bank and they have no record of receiving this credit (deposit refund). Bottom line I have not received the deposit back 24 days after leaving the property. I will update this review if & when resolved!

Very clean and comfortable. The location was ideal (— adjacent to restaurants, shopping and the “L”). The views were outstanding. Grandson loved the pool. we found the price equal or better than nearby hotels, but offers a larger space with unequalled views!
Nothing major at all! Minor item — We would have liked to have had coffee available for us to brew in the coffee maker.

Apartment was fab. Everything you needed, e.g. towels, dishwasher tabs, hand cleanser, washing powder, shampoo etc. Spotless and a fantastic location with an excellent supermarket next door.
Great leisure facilities, gym, pool, basketball court and more.
Great communication with the owners and the apartment was right next to a subway stop.
I really cannot think of anything.

Location was great. Great view of the city.
I had expected a two story penthouse (double high windows), based on the photos. It was single story, but did have a nice deck.

Location was outstanding. Central to many restaurants and located a 10 minute walk to the Chicago River. Located on the 52nd floor the views of the city were great with a peekaboo of Lake Michigan. Facilities were outstanding, pool, gym and common room were great additional features.
