Cool, deluxe comfort in a prime location off of the Magnificent Mile.

Fantastic room in terms of size, cleanliness, comfort, overall condition, decor and amenities. Huge walk-in dressing area, bathroom with two sinks, separate powder room, and the ability to shut off the living room / sofa bed area with the sliding pocket doors for privacy. Good lighting that could be adjusted to suit time of day/ mood. We also enjoyed the breakfasts (excellent food), the gym and the pool/ spa facilities. Exactly the experience we needed after a couple of 'dud' hotels earlier in our travels, and also a very nice welcome from the staff --- especially the amenity kits provided when they realised our luggage had been diverted to a different city and I was about to burst into tears!

A genuine five-star welcome in the heart of Chicago—promise kept by The Peninsula.

The Peninsula is a true five-star hotel. The room comfort is excellent, with great attention to detail. The service staff is outstanding. Our suite was spacious and beautifully appointed. Breakfast and the restaurant’s location were both excellent. The pool on the 20th floor is large and offers a magnificent view of the city, with every possible comfort. Among the best five-star hotels I have stayed in. Highly recommended.

Perhaps it was due to a particularly busy period, but we were surprised to learn that it was necessary to make a reservation in order to have breakfast in the restaurant. It was the first time we experienced the need to reserve a spot for breakfast, despite being hotel guests.

Surprising shortcomings for Peninsula.

The Concierge service was not good. Charging station in nightstand did not operate. Television did not operate until having to call and have it reset. Shower leaked all over bathroom floor.

Food was excellent; room service exceptional; everyone was quick and courteous. The only issue was every morning and dinnertime there was a pervasive food smell in the room.

Fabulous location within walking distance to central downtown and plenty of the key sites. Beautiful, comfortable room; very spacious. Welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent restaurants too.
