Comfort Inn Bloomington near University

The breakfast was awesome. It has many choices.

The way they handled the incidental charges that the hotel debited to my card. It's been 5 days since I have not received my money. I never took anything from the room. I've been trying to call them for the past 2 days now nobody is answering the phone.

Breakfast and also for the fact that I had a place to sleep for the night.

No , fridge, to keep my food, no microwave in room to warm, room was not cleaned properly, I had to request to change my bedding because you can tell they were not charged after someone else used, stains on the bed, the inside the sink, bath water takes long to drain leaving the bath inside dirty. The whole corridor smells bad 👎

Amazing staff and great atmosphere

It was relatively empty so that made for a quiet stay

Here's a list: disgusting stains on the carpet in my room, peeling wallpaper from water damage in the lobby, grimy light fixture plates in the bathroom, pubic hair in the shower, sheets too small for the mattress, fitted sheet that looked like it might have been slept on previously, no internet functioning in the room - had to go to the lobby to get internet access, and then they were unable to either print a receipt or email a receipt upon checkout.

The place was very clean and modern. Staff was very nice. Beds were comfortable.

They charged me $150 for an incidental fee up front which is too high for what we walked into. The floor had a hole on the carpet. The walls were peeling, the sheets stunk. I better get that $150 back! When I went to check out they said I owed $12 and I didn’t know why. The lady said don’t worry about it when I gave her a look. That hotel is a joke! They take your money. The only good thing was the staff was nice.

Close to campus and the most inexpensive that I could find.

Carpet in room was very dirty. No soap in the bathroom which wasn’t noticed until the middle of the night when it was needed. Pool was not in use. In-room Coffee pot had a piece missing so I couldn’t make coffee in the morning. No door hanger so couldn’t put up a do not disturb sign.

Room was dirty. Hairs in the bed blood stain on sheets and stains on pillows. HVAC fan was so loud we had to shut it off to sleep. I have video of it. Just a very old out dated hotel.

Not the best.

When we checked in our room looked dirty and dingy, carpet stained, walls looked dirty, molding around bathroom door was falling apart, curtain was falling off and room was very cold. When we turned on the heater it was so noisy it was unbelievable. No way we would ever sleep and be able to drive on the next day. Called desk, the attendent said it took a while to warm up. We waited, noise was still intolerable. Called desk, they sent 2 repair men who didn't think it would get any better. They got us keys to a different room which thankfully was better. Meanwhile we had called Comfort Inn # for help. Representative listened but apparently couldn't do anything and when we told her we managed to get another room without her help she said "make sure you stay on the line and learn about our $100 promotion". We were shocked as we were in a stressful situation and we were instructed to listen to a Comfort Inn promotion! Also we were under a time commitment and needed to get settled. In the morning my husband warned me not to take a shower as the tub had no slip resistance which is a serious accident waiting to happen.The advertised hot breakfast was adequate but not that great. We certainly had a poor experience. This COMFORT INN needs to be completely overhauled.

The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked.

The breakfast was not excellent and the staff were a little brusque in their manner. A water main broke and we were without water for about a day, which obviously is not their fault, but they were again just a little rude about it. Some areas were also very old/ dirty carpet, smelly, but not in the rooms. The elevators and hallways were very warm, but again, in the rooms and dining area it was fine.

Our carpet in our room was dirty- paper and crumbs on the floor , we didn’t even have soap in our bathroom. For 3 nights -it cost us close to 800.00 - I would of expected so much more , very disappointed.

Nothing- quite the letdown vs. other comfort inns

1st room wasn’t cleaned-so we got another room only to find out that the sink and shower were plugged- I asked the front desk lady 4 times to get it repaired- she tried herself as she said the maintenance man left for the day

Location

The bed was fairly comfortable, and the location was good.

The pool was "out of order," the vending machines were "out of order." At times there were towels stacked in the lobby and in the hallways. The breakfast was barely passable.

Checking out

The fact my room stunk. It had mold in the shower. I called the desk and told them and nothing was done about it. Had no toilet paper and had to buy my own

Jessica was awesome. She helped in every way she could. She was dealing with a power outage among other issues. And she made it nice and welcoming for us

Pool wasn't working, no cable till 11pm due to power outage. But a good 4 hours after the power came on we still couldn't watch TV.

Very comfortable bed -- that's the most important part. Inn is in a good location near the IU Campus, Room was very clean -- you can tell that the housekeeping staff is very attentive and works hard to keep the rooms clean. Air conditioning worked -- very important for a July hot and humid day. Even though the Comfort Inn is near a very busy intersection, it was quiet during my stay.

Outside grounds are not very pleasing. Yellow and very dated decor and look to the place. Everything needs a "refresh" look. Cigarette buts everywhere. The shower didn't drain but it was fixed before my second night.

Something is good

Not much. I could hear people brushing their teeth. The walls are paper thin. The topping on the bed kept coming off, and the room was only marginally clean. I thought Machain was going to fall off the wall. Only continental breakfast. The eggs were gone by 8:30.

Staff what little there is was friendly. Breakfast was free and plenty.

No proper luggage racks. Found used prophylactic behind lounge chair with other trash. No microwave. Ice machine did not work.

They help in any way they can but also give you your privacy.

Great hotel. Hate the location.

It was close to campus for my classes.

Stayed in room 1122 at Bloomington, Indiana hotel. Room smelled of marijuana and there was a plastic bag tied around the smoke detector. Very disappointed with my stay. Tried to leave feedback with Choice Hotels, and an error message kept appearing.

Decent location, no safety concerns, clean bathroom and bed.

Rooms and public areas are obviously rundown and minimally maintained.

I was told I couldn’t get a room after I paid. The power was off. So they was suppose to reimburse me and never did.

Location was great. Nice and quiet.

Wasn't aware it was an adjoined room and barely got our side to lock. The bathroom door was off hinge and didn't lock or shut all the way. Room had trash on floor from previous people.
