Quick trip to explore the area.

Very clean and comfortable bed.

Daily parking costs and the lobby did not seem lively or welcoming. Sterile? Something about it just didn't feel welcoming. Crowded with furniture? Can't recall exactly. Low ceilings, maybe that made it seem darker?

I write a review from my previous stay back in August 2024. Even though I said I wouldn’t return, and I did, I stand by what I wrote about the hotel for that stay. Now, this time our stay was completely different. Feels like a totally different hotel. Feels like each and every one of my comments was heard and tended to (i don't believe it was exactly like that, but it does feel that way, and I appreciate it). The room we were given on the 5th floor was completely redone, and while we were there they were doing the whole bottom floor. Great update! Personnel at the lobby were great; maintenance people were professional and in correct uniform, and their work was great. You know when a place is well run when everything is okay and the work behind the scenes happens without you noticing; now, let me tell you: it did not go unnoticed by us! Again, I am revising my review from 1 year ago, and I need to say that my stay was back again at the expected Courtyard Marriott level. Thank you for everything!!

Convenient spot for campus visit

Rooms were spacious and very clean. We had a nicely updated bathroom. Walking distance to campus.

Breakfast service was slow so be mindful if you are in a hurry. Should not have to pay for parking - they don’t validate it. But at least parking was conveniently next to hotel.

I checked into the room. I went for a comedy show, my pregnant friend and I were in our hotel room changing to eat dinner and I was on the toilet and the room was double booked. Someone walked into our room while my friend was changing. If we were not in the room what if our things had been stolen or someone came in? The hotel staff is not saying they made a mistake but I was supposed to be in room 324 and they gave me a key to 529. It is not my fault the hotel staff made that error and I followed directions to the key they gave me? Will not stay again.

Horrible property that should be torn down.

This hotel is a disgrace to the Marriott name. Ridiculously expensive, as they take advantage of the fact that it’s move-in week for IU students, but the hotel is an absolute piece of garbage. Popcorn ceilings, old disgusting carpets, musty rooms, bathrooms are in need of massive repair. What a ridiculous place. I will NEVER stay at this property again, so many better places in Bloomington including the Hyatt Place and Hilton Garden Inn for the same $$$.

When we book the hotel, says: free breakfast. But when we checked in, they only issued one breakfast voucher for one person a day. So we had paid for rest of families. And breakfast is not good.

No coffee in the lobby… a Starbucks/dinette (no free breakfast).. the prices were ridiculous. I paid $8.50 for a “yogurt parfait “ that had an inch of yogurt, some blueberries and walnuts. My husband had eggs and bacon for $12.50 that was very mediocre. The hotel itself was very nice, but for the $$ we spent for a room, I was disappointed in the expensive breakfast options, and coffee. We will not stay there again…
