You hear every noise in hallway

Friendly, helpful, and professional Check-in and check-out staff. Shuttle to airport. Location. Comfy bed. Hot water for shower. Coffee in room. Gym. Good wifi, easy to connect to.

Could hear every little noise in hallway and outside. Sometimes I thought other people were entering our room, as it was so loud and clear. No switches on entry and bathroom lights, only motion sensor activated. Would cause the other person to wake up when one of us got up. Bathroom fan in 317 was very noisy, and started based on the motion detector.

Horrible hotel

No heat, kids screaming and running up and down the halls all night. I told staff at 2 30 am in the morning as I was not able to sleep that I wanted my money back they out right said no to bad.

The hotel is maybe a quarter mile from the airport.

The breakfast was a banquet. The woman in the kitchen brought out fresh hot scrambled eggs as I was loading my plate. The managers need to put pics of the lobby/meeting room on Yelp. I was cramped in various planes for 20 hours and was able to "just relax" in the double comfy wingback chairs. The cook told me of children that slept the night on the couches instead of their beds...they felt so secure.

Quiet stay to sleep on a board.

It was surprisingly quiet for being at the gate of the airport. The person who checked us in was very friendly.

The room looked clean at first glance, but there were obvious signs that shortcuts are taken by cleaning staff. The beds are like bricks, I don't know if I've ever slept on a bed so hard. The pillows are horrible. Bring your own snacks, $3 for a regular size candy bar is ridiculous and they don't have vending machines.

Pretty standard room, comfortable beds, nice sized bathroom and good water pressure in shower. Welcoming staff. Only a few minutes drive from downtown.

Window blind would not go up. Temp on AC could not be adjusted, just on or off. Desk chair did not fit under desk so took up too much space. No mirror outside of bathroom.

They never have the La Quinta signs lighted up which is odd. I have stated there 3 times in last 3 years and lights are never on.

The staff at the main desk were kind.

The room was not clean and it was pretty run down. Needs to be cleaned up and repaired (bad outlet, why does the motion sensor turn on the main over head light when you go in the bathroom, dust/dirt on floors and furniture and in teh A/C unit, the windows are filmed over to see outside, the bed pillows were absolutely unusable. We had to go buy pillows. The sheets had stains on them and the comfortor fillers were old and yellow and very dirty looking.

The two plusses were it was within walking distance to the airport, there was a free shuttle.

The coffee was horrible! My hairdryer did not work. The pillows were small and chintzy and the curtain to block the light did not reach the sill and the parking lot light shone in my eyes. And the air conditioner was noisy.

The pool was being repaired- that was not mentioned at booking. At one point, my toilet became plugged up and close to overflowing. There wasn’t a phone in the room so I went to the main desk and he asked me to check if the water went down and to let him know if I needed a plunger. As I was walking back to my room, another person staying there was walking towards me with a plunger and I even said “oh, yours too?”…anyway, the toilet still wasn’t working so I went back to the desk and the attendant gave me a plunger for ME to do maintenance myself on my toilet. I could not believe it.

I love La Quinta, but not THIS one.

The hotel has very easy parking and is essentially connected to South Bend Airport, so very handy in the right circumstances. Edith keeps the kitchen area spotless and is the bright spot here. Waffles are excellent.

The facilities are just aging and in poor condition, way below standard for La Quinta. Our first room we discovered had a non-working AC unit/thermostat and a bathroom door that wouldn't close at all, let alone lock. So we moved (at 10pm) to another room that was "checked out" by the manager. At 3a.m. I discovered the toilet didn't flush (fixed the next morning) and that evening we found with wet hair that there was no hairdryer and the manager couldn't find another for one hour. The shower faucet functioned but looked like it could come out of the wall at any moment. The hallways reek strongly of cleaning solvents.

The beds were comfortable. The area was super quiet. They had a large selection for Breakfast. Staff was amazing.

Super close to South Bend airport, and the shuttle is free. Lobby spacious, and breakfast area clean. Breakfast staff superb! Front desk staff responsive and generous.

Room was not clean. Bed not made up. Dirty floors. Toilet articles of mixed brands; their provenance was unclear. Bathroom floor not mopped. No vacuuming around bed. Missing coffee supplies. Pool shut down by the health department.

A big mistake

I have the email saying I could cancel up until six o'clock at four forty five I called say I needed to cancel they set me to booking dot com. I call booking.com. The phone message says I can use AI or talk wiith a human. Ai doesn't help. I'm supposed to call a number to talk to a human. I'm told there's a thirty Minute , wait. At twenty eight and a half minutes a human comes on. She is. Very nice , but tells me I have to Cancel through the hotel. I try that and get nowhere. I am told You will send a message to the hotel To which they need to respond in forty eight hours. I call the hotel But do not Get confirmation of cancellation. Then there are just a whole bunch of emails in my And my. Credit card has already been charged. This is all rigged. I will not state a La Quinta in the future.Nor will I use booking dot com.

I would personally never choose to stay at a LaQuinta Inn again.

Not much of anything. We were truly disappointed with he stay and glad it was only for one night stay.

There was a dead bug in the middle of the bed, the room smelled like cigarette smoke, and the microwave had a plate of food in it that looked and smelled like it had been there for a while. When asked if we could move to another room we were told the occupancy was full and given sheets to change the bed ourselves.

The temperature was easy to control, and the breakfast provided was good.

There was a small earring left on the floor in the main entrance of my hotel room that had not been swept/vacuumed up leaving the assumption that maybe the room hadn't been cleaned thoroughly.
