The View of both the American and Canadian Falls
Misleading advertising: hidden fees, unusable pool, inaccessible Wi‑Fi:
I chose Embassy Suites by Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview expecting the advertised amenities, but what was listed on Booking.com didn’t match reality.
The indoor pool—a primary reason for booking—was under construction with no disclosure on Booking.com, and the offered alternative at the nearby Wyndham was inconvenient and seemed unusable because guests were turned away when the pool was “too busy.”
Parking is described simply as private parking, with the reasonable consumer expectation that it is an amenity included - no fees are shown before booking. Upon arrival we were told parking is $100/night valet, $70/night on‑site self parking, or $35/night off‑site self parking. These costs were not disclosed upfront.
Wi‑Fi was advertised as available, but in‑room access was effectively inaccessible for non‑Hilton Honors guests because attempts to register failed; we made no attempt to pay for Wi-Fi.
Other issues included 35+ min breakfast lines, a skipped housekeeping day, a broken treadmill, and children often using gym equipment.
Management response was dismissive: concerns were shrugged off as “normal when busy,” with no meaningful follow-up despite repeated messages. A refunded paid room upgrade did not address broader issues of misrepresentation, hidden costs, and reduced service standards.
The “view” rooms may be nice but, until transparency and service improve, I cannot recommend this property.

View was fantastic all be it on an angle. The staff were friendly and engaging.
Needs renovation. Getting old and worn. Beds could be comfier. Breakfast was very very poor standard compared to the accomodation standard and location. We expected a more contemporary continental breakfast than the tasteless and limited stuff we were served.

Booked High floor Fall view but after reach hotel staff said most of the good views already taken so must pay $70 to upgrade. Breakfast was not good and staff are not really good too.

Worst I’ve had in years, set up on folding tables , scrambled eggs floating in water disgusting, no bread or toaster, had to wait 10 minutes for cold toast. Everything was freezing. had to clean our own tables like at ikea. (Then they wanted tip… for what?!) They should be ashamed they offered this in such a nice hotel. I wish I had booked elsewhere just for breakfast

The location is great
We were not expecting to find a broken towel holder in the washroom. When we arrived, the toilet seat had been cleaned, but it was very wet, so I had to dry it myself. The garbage bags were not installed...
There were also no robes or slippers. Given the price, I expected everything to be in proper order.

Staff didn’t help in pointing out offsite parking options, which btw were far more inexpensive and closer than even Embassy offsite parking. Also no made to order breakfast as their website advertises. And booking thru Booking.com the front desk didn’t honor what i paid for on the view.

Our room was very dusty. Dust all over the headboard under the tv bedside table. Just not very clean for such a fabulous hotel. Breakfast wasn’t great either. Cold toast hot food was very bland no spoons near where you’d look for cereal. Just wasn’t very organised.

Spacious room, comfortable, great location.
Safe wasn't working so had to arrange new batteries. Also, one of the phones was not working as wire was plugged into wrong part of the phone. However, both issues were dealt with by hotel staff immediately once I raised them and staff were overall very helpful.

Location was close to falls
Were supposed to get glass shower, and that is specifically why I booked the one that clearly said "Queen Suite- High floor" and had clearly shown the shower. Rest others said clearly "bathtub" and those were cheaper too. Paid extra for the one that no mention of bathtub and had better shower, but still ended up getting the bathtub.
Upon calling, they simply just said 'there's a line when you book which states that features may vary and hung up'

It is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location , clean and tidy.
They get so much right but what they got wrong for my family holiday to celebrate my 30th Wedding Anniversary was the single most financially devastating experience of my life , taking without authorisation in excess of £9000 for a booking that originally totalled just over £3000.
They refused to accept their error throwing even further doubt in my mind as to what was going on?
I was left effectively penniless on the holiday.
It should have been a holiday of a lifetime but was ruined by relentless billing issues.
They finally agreed an acceptable resolution however it is yet to fulfilled in its entirety and I never received a single word of apology.
Sadly they caused me to have an exacerbation in my Multiple Sclerosis through stress.
I would love to return to get the holiday I had dreamed of but this whole episode has left me extremely nervous and unsettled.
Please note if you are thinking of booking
It continues to be advertised on bookings.com there is a cad200 damage fee please note I was charged CAD 3600 !!! And told it was per room per night.

It was too crowded. Long lines for the elevators and breakfast. The breakfast quality has really gone down and the parking is extremely expensive.

We stayed as family in a Queen suite. The room was good and the view was amazing, covering both falls. However, the room did not include basic items such as toothpaste, toothbrush, shower cap, or slippers.
Breakfast was very disappointing: no cheese, no vegetables (like cucumbers or tomatoes), no butter, and only one type of bread (toast). There was also a long line-up for breakfast, although another restaurant existed, it was closed. No priority was given for kids or elderly guests, which made it even more inconvenient.
Another negative point is the check-in/check-out policy. Check-in was only available at 4 pm, while check-out was at 11 am. On top of that, the hotel charges an extra 50 CAD if you want a late check-out. For the price I paid (over 800 CAD for one night), this feels very unfair!!
Overall, despite the nice view, the service and amenities were terrible for the price. I would not stay here again.
