The Space:
The Farmhouse in New Mills, Derbyshire, consists of a kitchen/diner with an AGA, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, and kettle, a utility with a washing machine, and a sitting room with a TV and woodburning stove. The bedrooms include a king-size with en-suite walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC, a double, and a single, along with a bathroom with freestanding bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC, and a cloakroom with basin and WC. Outside, there is a front garden with patio, furniture, pond and off-road parking for two cars. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. You will find a shop within 1.4 miles, and a pub within 1.3 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. The Farmhouse is a lovely base for exploring Derbyshire and the Peak District. Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of 350 GHB. Note: Please take care as there is an unfenced pond in the garden. Note: Please take care as there is an unfenced pond in the garden. Note: AGA isn't in use. Although the traditional farmhouse kitchen features a range cooker and boiler, the cooking part is temperamental and has been disconnected We have provided convenient alternatives to the range, including: A separate counter-top oven, which is 48-litre in size and features two ceramic hobs, an additional induction hob, a 900-watt microwave with several oven cooking functions. Note: Owners live next door. Please note: this property accepts a maximum of 4 guests plus one infant. . Please note: During July and August this property accepts a minimum of 4 night stays. New Mills is a small town situated on the borders of North West Derbyshire and Cheshire, forming part of the Derbyshire Peak District. Dating back to the 13th century, the late 20th century saw the Torrs Riverside Park (‘the park under the town’) come into being a place for recreation and relaxation, along with the New Mills Heritage Centre, opened to promote tourism in the area. The Torrs Millennium Walkway, a much-admired bridge, is set deep in the gorge and attracts many visitors, while Chapel en le Frith, the Capital of the Peaks, is only 5 miles away, boasting a cobbled market place and historic old stocks. Within easy driving distance is the delightful spa town of Buxton, famous not only for its therapeutic spring water, but also for its Pavillion Gardens and splendid Victorian Opera House, which boasts a variety of shows, attracting people from all over the world. Within easy driving distance are the Blue John show caves at Castleton and many stately homes such as Chatsworth House and Lyme Hall. You could even leave your car behind as there are direct rail links to Manchester, the Hope Valley and Sheffield. An ideal base for exploring the whole of the Peak District.
