The bedrooms consist of a ground-floor king-size with en-suite shower room, a double, a twin, a bunk, and a single, serviced by a bathroom. Outisde there is a non-enclosed patio with furniture, enclosed lawn, and off-road parking for three cars. Within 4.5 miles or less you will find a shop, a pub, and a beach, and please note this is a smoke-free property. Dogs are not permitted upstairs. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels included in the rent. Explore the Isle of North Uist with a stay at Ar Dachaigh. Note: Single accessible from bunk room only. The Neighborhood:
The village of Lochmaddy is the terminus for the daily ferry linking it to Uig on the Isle of Skye and it is also the main centre of population for the island of North Uist. Lochmaddy has good facilities and services including a selection of hotels serving fresh local produce in their dining rooms. A visit to the award-winning museum and arts centre located in the centre of Lochmaddy is a must, and there is also a tourist office full of information about local events and places to visit. The road south of Lochmaddy will lead you to the village of Carinish some 10 miles away and if you continue on this road you can cross the causeway to the island of Benbecula. The town of Balivanich in Benbecula offers shops, post office, a bank, restaurant, a petrol station and an airport, from which car hire can be arranged. The causeway from Benbecula then leads onward to the island of South Uist.
