Lovely island home.

A cosy comfortable seaside retreat.

The house is lovely, clean and comfortable. We have a dog so the secure garden was good and she really liked being a pawstep from the beach. When we arrived the lights were on and the fire lit which we appreciated on a cold dark autumn evening. Also liked the welcome basket which included milk and bread and biscuits from local bakeries.

Everything. Location in Stornaway but on the edge and you go out the door onto a beach/walk for the dogs. Garden perfect. Had a shed for my bike. Inside the house was stunning. There was a welcoming fire in. The bathrooms were fragranced with reeds. There was a basket of fresh rolls/bread/oatcakes etc and milk in the fridge. Best accomodation I have stayed at. Would thoroughly recommend

The perfect base to go explore then come home and unwind in cosy comfort

Property was very much a cosy home away from home and the perfect environment to unwind. With beautiful scenery next to the water, it was great to take a stroll or sit and watch the waves. It was the perfect base to travel both Isle of Lewis and Isle of Harris, giving perfect comfort to come back to after a day of adventuring around and viewing all the beauty around. Host had so many beautiful touches and lovely fragrances throughout the home. Instructions were clear and there were personal recommendations of restaurants along with the cost and type of food. What is open when and plenty of flyers to look at booking a little excursion.

A cosy home

Of our seven "bookings" during our last Scottish trip, this was the most surprising because it really felt like a very comfortable (tidy) home we sadly had booked for only four nights. A quiet spot at the end of a road (with a seaview), within easy walking distance from the city center. A very sympathetic host... This really is a place to come back! And don't forget to book dinner in La Balena, so much more than a traditional Italian restaurant.

A delightful stay.

A lovely home from home stay, nice garden area as well which was ideal for our dog. We would have enjoyed this more had the weather been drier :D The welcome pack was really appreciated too, so much so we bought more bakery products! Thank you so much

Wonderful island break by the sea.

Clean and beautifully furnished. Nice Island touches with local books and a lovely welcome basket of Stag bakery items & essentials. Comfy beds. Location by the sea with great outside seating areas. Easy reach of Stornaway and lovely walk along the beach path to Sandwick just outside the door.

Could do with a few small bins in the bathrooms.

Fantastic lovely stay for couple.

It’s private. It was easy to get to and close to town. The views were amazing. The attention to details was lovely inside - the furnishings and the bed was super comfortable.

Would definitely book again

Spacious, comfortable, warm, plenty of parking, great location (convenient to access Stornoway; shops and restaurants, harbour). Lovely Christmas tree with lights and treats there when I arrived.

Was all really great apart from I didn't manage to access the Wi-Fi however because I was busy so didn't contact the owners so could have been down to me rather than the Wi-Fi. Good phone signal so just used my phone.

Betty relaxing Christmas stay.

As usual everything was perfect and this time there was a beautiful lit Christmas tree welcoming us after a very stormy crosding. The place was lovely and warm in arrival and I had the best nights sleep ever.. We had some lovely warm days and walks down the river Creed. There was even a beautiful daisy in full flower on the banks at Tolsta Beach. We will be back again for the fifth time!

Relaxing and comfortable…a real home-from-home. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Property is located outwith the main centre, but close enough to walk in. It sits on a bay, and is an ideal starting point for walking along the coastline.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the property, the location, the price, etc. Everything was perfect, and was of the same high standard as the same week the previous year. Nothing was worn or ‘tired’.

The pictures don’t do it justice, one of the nicest properties we have stayed in. Thoughtfully put together, from the comfort of beds and towelling dressing gowns to the mirror hung in the right position to do hair and make up, everything has had care and forethought put into it.

We loved everything about this stay - the location, the cleanliness and the facilities were all top standard. Every single detail has been thought of - even down to the most amazing smelling soap in the bathrooms! The house is modern and stylish and we felt so at home here - it really did feel like a safe and homely place to stay. Our dog had the loveliest walks by the Bay and we were only 4 minutes drive from everything in town. We wish we could have stayed longer and would absolutely love to stay again in future. I cannot recommend this accommodation more!

Perfect little piece of luxury.

Spotless. Comfortable. Cosy. Tastefully decorated and lovely thick towels and bath robes. The house is a little piece of luxury right in Stornoway town but also on the sea. We enjoyed looking at the cruise ships anchored every day at (what felt like) the end of the driveway.

Perfect property in a perfect location for the perfect getaway. Absolutely faultless. There were no problems from the minute we arrived to the minute of departure. Everything was as it had been described on the booking site.

Nice house and great location however cleanliness was an issue

Great location, house well furnished with modern appliances and very nicely decorated. Upstairs bathrooms and bedrooms clean with plenty of towels and soap etc. provided.

The emails I got from Booking.com stated someone would meet us at the property however when we arrived there was no one there. Waited for 45 minutes before ringing the owner who said she had emailed a code for a lock box. However upon checking my emails I never received this. When we entered the property it was disappointing to find the kitchen and living area had not been cleaned thoroughly. We had to spend half an hour wiping down surfaces, brushing the floor and washing dirty dishes that had been put into the cupboards! This made it a 7 instead of a 9 or 10 score.

The property is outstanding. The owners had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The islands are beautiful - particularly the beaches and the property was well positioned to explore them.

It was very comfortable and a great central place for outings on Lewis and Harris.

The welcome basket was perfect, since the ferry arrival was later in the evening than the shops.

The key lock box was stiff and a little fiddly. There could have been a toilet brush.
