The property has two bedrooms; a king-size double and twin resting under the eaves, sharing access to a bathroom with bath and shower over, sleeping four guests. There is also a cloakroom and an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and seating area with electric fire. Outside there is a patio seating area and off-road parking. Oak Cottage is an idyllic retreat for those wanting to explore the Peak District National Park. One well-behaved dog is welcome (If you are bringing a dog, it must be listed on the booking form prior to arrival, for the safety and comfort of all guests dogs must remain on a lead at all times while on the property).
The Neighborhood:
The village of Bolsterstone stands on the edge of the peak District National Park, between Stocksbridge and Ewden Valley. This historic village boasts a pub that is nearly 200 years old, as well as being the home of the Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir, which was formed in 1934. Nearby Stocksbridge holds a variety of eateries and shops, together with many bridleways and footpaths, while Broomhead and Langsett dams make for interesting afternoon rambles.
