Perfect location for us as we were a large group visiting family in Sheffield. House was so comfortable and clean and we did a lot of catering in the spacious kitchen. There is a grocery shop down the hill and we walked to the Rising Sun Inn which we can highly recommend. Our group ranged from 6 months to 69 (so us oldies got a lift back up the hill). Kids ran wild at LongShaw Estate and did Easter activities at Whirlow Hall Farm.
We needed a few extra kitchen items but we're able to borrow from local family. The lack of a downstairs loo might be a consideration for others but our two 4 year olds managed the emergency dashes up the stairs fine.

The location was excellent for visiting family who live nearby and visiting Derbyshire. The house was warm, clean and tidy and ideal for our of party of 8.
There was only a few tea bags, small jar of instant coffee and a small bag of crisps provided as a welcome pack. There was no milk, biscuits, chocolates, or wine as experienced by other guests in their reviews.
The freezer was completely frozen up and was unusable. Fortunately we had no frozen food on arrival.
The hot water tap to the bath was loose and rather dangerous especially for children. We contacted the owners on 2 occasions but these issues were not resolved during our visit.
The dining room table was not really big enough for 8/9 people.
A tea pot would have been useful.

The property was very nicely decorated and spacious for our family. Everything was in great condition and the property was properly kitted out with everything we needed for our stay.
