Step into the shoes of Roman soldiers as you walk along the Wall to nearby forts, where children can marvel at the ruins, explore archaeological sites, and discover fascinating stories in the museums. History-loving adults and curious young explorers alike will be captivated by the private path leading directly to Hadrian’s Wall. Cot and highchair available on request. These beautifully converted former barns offer a choice of one- and two-bedroom cottages, thoughtfully named after key locations along the UNESCO World Heritage Roman Wall. Surrounded by open farmland, the cottages are also a wonderful place for spotting wildlife, from deer, foxes, and pheasants to friendly farm animals such as sheep and cows.
