Great flat but heating needs upgrade

The flat was very spacious and there was plenty of storage space. Incredible - most flats are rather too small. We had 2 bathrooms. Lots of room in the kitchen , sugar & tea provided. No noise from neighbours. Two sofas to sit on. There was a dedicated parking space. A fruit bowl was provided - a rarity! The site manager was great - he was readily available and really helpful.

No dishwasher! The heating was playing up - though we did have fan heaters they were noisy. Despite calling in the heating engineer we ended up with just one rad in the bedroom which was tropical while the rest of the flat was cold. We had plenty of cutlery except for some reason only 4 forks. Instant coffee but no fresh. The fan didn't work.in the shared bathroom so it got rather hot and steamy. It seems like lots of faults, but really it was a great place and we enjoyed staying there.

Good value 2 night stay - but access details arriving far too late prior to arrival

bedrooms were very large with plenty of storage spaces. The heating was very good throughout. the wifi was good. cooking equipment was more than sufficient.

Arrived at apartment at 4pm as advised but no email or instructions where the keys were/what the code was. Also car parking not clear at all - we parked near the apartment as implied in the advertising and straight away another resident blocked us in and complained we used there space. We had to calm him down and apologise. And we were still not inside the apartment. We had to call the mobile number to chase up details which we then had relayed back on the phone a short while later (thank you Graham) - the required email arrived over an hour later - too late. Also the apartment details says/continues to state "ensuite bedrooms" - incorrect - only one bedroom was ensuite, the other had to use a separate "family-type" bathroom. The car parking space is away from the apartment, not made clear at all and could cause issues as you cannot see your car/feelings of insecure car parking.

Beautiful apartment that made a very positive appearance, but had a few annoying problems.

We loved the location next to Sainsbury's where we could buy our breakfast foods. The style and decor of the apartment were just delightful- beautiful walls and furnishings, like a designer apartment.

The beds, sofas and toilets were all much too low, very hard to get up out of- especially for older people with difficulty moving.. The bathrooms did not have any outlets for night lights, shavers or electric toothbrushes. Shower floor was extremely slick and hazardous. Clothes washer seemed to have a drying cycle as indicated on the dial, but we could not make it work. We called Andy, who also couldn't make it work. There were no instructions for this washer on how to operate it (the only instructions available were for a different washer.). The refrigerator door was really hard to close, and we accidently left it partially open several times. The trash from the previous guests had not been emptied from the trash can outside, and there was almost no room for us to deposit our trash.

We love the distance to the city centre 10 mins walk, loads of shops, restaurants, pubs ideal, close to the park which was great for us with 2 dogs, will definitely return very spacious apartment great having 2 bathrooms would recommend.

Spacious and well appointed quiet location with a supermarket round the corner pub and Chinese takeaway nearby 15 min walk to a brilliant town centre although there’s a lot of work being carried out we look forward to our return visit

Small points - I noticed that the bedside lamp, the TV screen and the radiators were rather dusty. The bedside lamp in the main bedroom isn’t really bright enough to read by. There were no mattress or pillow protectors on the big bed. Mattress and duvet a bit stained.

Easy walk to city centre. Did the job for the work trip.

Instructions to the front door need to be clearer especially when arriving in the dark. Needs more kitchen utensils. No mattress or pillow protectors in main bedroom. No pillow protectors in second room. Didn’t notice this until check out.

There were essentials such as salt, sugar, tea as well as bathroom stuff and washing detergent present in the apartment. It is a very nice touch!

I was not sure about recycling: there were no instructions about that. It was written in the guest book that it was attached at the end but it was not. Moreover links sent via booking messages required one drive app or one drive account to be accessed.

The outer door did not lock properly and was very loose. From the outside you wonder what you will find when you enter the building as it isn't very attractive.

Lovely stay

The flat is a 15-20 walk from the Carlisle train station but took a cab since we had luggage. The flat itself was very nice and comfortable. It had a nice kitchen, the living room was a good size and the bedrooms had comfy beds and the rooms themselves were very roomy. There is a Sainsbury 5 minutes away which was convenient and the castle was a 10 minute walk. Overall, i would highly recommend this property and would stay here again if I'm ever in Carlisle.

Could not figure out how to use the dryer part of the washer but as a Yank, I seem to have that problem at all English homes LOL

Comfortable, quiet in a good location

A nice ground floor apartment less than five minutes walk from the city centre and two minutes from a large supermarket. The apartment was clean, very comfortable, reasonably well equipped and in a very quiet location. Would recommend

spacious lounge area, comfortable beds, close to were we needed to be very central.

one of the guests found a used pregnancy stick in a cupboard under their bathroom sink . there was still parts of the fridge that needed cleaned properly & the glass table were the tv sits on was very dusty ! coming into the entrance of the flat , there was lots of debris eg a large empty tv box & other rubbish . There was also towels in the washing machine & the washing machine was switched on so we weren’t sure if they had already washed or still to be washed .

Good location, especially as we were travelling by public transport. Generous size of overall accommodation.

I booked this accommodation especially because it was advertised as ground floor as I was travelling with a 94-year-old relative with mobility issues, and I am currently on crutches. I was therefore disappointed to find on arrival that there is a particularly high step and door trim to navigate, making it difficult to enter the property. It would have been helpful to have this mentioned "for info" as this would have been a major issue had we arrived in the dark. A grab rail attached to the door frame would have been excellent. Key access was easy. We were disappointed with the automated heating, too warm in the day and quite cold during the night. Disappointments aside, we would recommend and would book again. Lastly, one item missing that is a "can't be without" for me is kitchen roll.
