Couldn't have been more perfect.

The house was within a short walk of the city centre and had really lovely modern decor. Ben, the host, was really helpful when we encountered big train delays for our trip back to London. All in all, I couldn't recommend it more highly, and we'll certainly be back if we return to Carlisle.

Wonderful Stay 👍️

I'm really pleased with the house, perfect for our stay. Great quiet location very near to Carlisle city centre. Big Sainsbury’s few mins walk. Spotless clean, strong internet, comfy bed. Lovely cosy and warm house with comfortable furnishings. Nice bathroom and kitchen and all very clean. Very helpful, friendly host. Will definitely stay again. Super thanks Ben.

Review of the Luxury house in Carlisle.

We did like the luxury house, we slept downstairs on the sofa beds, because myaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa wife and I are in our 80's and we were worried about climbing up and down the stairs, they are very steep and the handrail doesn't go all the way to the top. We were very comfortable on the sofa beds and slept well.

We were a bit disappointed with the towels provided, very thin and worn, and need replacing. However the rest of the facilities were all excellent and in good condition.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable and it has great potential, but it could use some freshening up.

We didn't have an allocated parking space despite this being advertised at the time of booking, which was very disappointing as this was one of the main reasons we chose this apartment. Also, the property could use some freshening up. The bath tiles were mouldy, the shower head was leaking, the walls and windows were dirty, etc. It would also have been a plus if there was shower gel and coffee.

Idea spot, quiet location and close to ammenities.

How close the property was to the centre and available parking next to location. Ideal spot with a bonus of outdoor space in the sun when we arrived. Great instructions for access and great communication pre and post visit. Would recommend.

Comfortable budget stay

The house is a decent size and the nightly rate is cheap. It is also nice and warm and pretty clean. The check in/out was nice and easy. Tea bags were also provided and there are USB charging outlets in the living room and bedroom.

The road it's on doesn't feel super safe and had a lot of litter, the parking is on street and you're supposed to have a disc but one wasn't provided, instead I was told by Ben 'if you get a ticket, I'll pay it for you'. We had family nearby drop in for food, and they had to park in Sainsburys because of the lack of spaces. There was course sea salt but no salt mill, there were only four forks, the scourer in the kitchen was old and the temperature of the hot water wasn't adequate for a hot bath. The fridge could do with a deep clean and same for the shower screen. The toilet doesn't flush especially well, the back alley is kinda creepy (it's where you enter the back garden) and the bed in the main bedroom was annoyingly low. The pillows in the main bedroom are also old and thin and the towels provided are old too. And finally, while there were tea bags, there was no milk. A pint of milk is super cheap, and having this available so people can have a brew when they get in makes such a difference. I know Sainsburys isn't far away, but when you've driven a long way to get there, you just want a cup of tea.

Ben gave us accurate instructions on parking & entering the property. The house was lovely & warm on arrival, very clean & tidy. beds very comfortable. everything we needed in the property. We would definitely recommend & return.

Great Place to Rest and Recharge

Great personal contact by owner. Video explanations on layout, parking and access to key was extremely helpful. Washing Machine was a bonus after several days of travel. Exactly as described and within walking distance to the grocery store and town centre. Many Thanks to Ben.

Leaking sink in bathroom. No upstairs toilet, but was fine for a 1 night stay. Perhaps another video to explain how to operate stove and oven for non-UK Lodgers (we were fine, but might frustrate some).

Mixed feelings. A nice house in a run down location, with issues. A few tweaks and it would’ve been good!

Central location. Comfy bed. Lots of usb charger points. Clean. Good communication from owner, who was very friendly. Use of YouTube videos showing check in process really clearly.

The street it’s located on; really run down, the house is opposite a derelict building, loud neighbours arguing into night and knocking on doors loudly at all hours, seagulls nesting right outside house and squealing all night long, no immediate parking (leaving car down at the end of the road in a separate car park, where you can’t see it), bath had mould all around it and was slow to drain, kettle spout was heavily stained blue, which when wiped came off on kitchen roll - this looked like a cleaning product that was very stubborn to remove, so we had no use of a kettle! No wine glasses. No salt and vinegar. Enough washing up liquid for one use. No oven tray to cook with. No cafeteria coffee press at all!

Good location

Close to City Centre and supermarket. Clean.

To get the key on arrival is down an alley full of brambles & weeds I think the owner could clear them. It should be stated that the bathroom (and only toilet) is on the ground floor. I found it quite a challenge going downstairs in the night to use it especially as there was no handrail on the stairs. Besides that a pleasant stay. Do not waste money going into Cardiff Castle as we did there is nothing in there.

The house is beautiful, well furnished, cosy and central. Ben was very helpful with any questions I had.

The stairs are rather steep and my mum has a dodgy knee, a banister would have helped immensely.
