An excellent blend of nature and convenience! I’m an outdoorsy person but the friends I travelled with are not! This was the perfect mix. We watched deer from the living quarters, cooked on a barbecue and played board games. But we also ordered takeaway, watched mean girls and made iced coffees every morning! The value for money was impeccable with their being ample space for the 3 of us. The small details are really thought about here. There were a selection of board games and DVDs, a TV with access to Netflix and supplies for the log burner (with it even being set up ready to light upon our arrival)! The owner even left us a care package of pasta and pasta sauce, tinned soup and beans and a package of ground coffee to use in the supplied espresso machine, she even threw in a bottle of prosecco! Even the matching perfectly clean, fresh and high quality bedding sets added to the comfort value of this place! The facilities were great, having the convenience of a small freezer again is bonus points in my eyes! The shower was great, with excellent pressure and their were even towels provided (again beautifully clean and comfortable). We will definitely return. Thank you for a great girls trip/babymoon!

Location, surroundings which were ideal for toddlers and dogs.
It was very clean. Host was very helpful and accommodatimg.
That the grass was mowed for our virtual stay, which was disappointing as we wanted a quiet, relaxing break.

This is a fab place to stay on so many levels. The log cabin is situated at the edge of a large field, edged with trees with a lovely river for paddling at the bottom of the field. There is access to a fantastic old woodland which is off the beaten track and makes for great and adventurous walks. My two dogs adored their stay!
The log cabin has everything you need ... even a bottle of Prosecco as part of the welcome pack. Plenty of wood was supplied for the wood burner to include the kindling, fire-lighters and coal. The table on the cabin patio is perfect to watch the sun go down and rise.
The family who own the log cabin are almost on-site but live behind the log cabin so you wouldn't know and no-one comes to bother you which is great. However, the hostess with the mostess award has to go to Tracey! Tracey kindly recused us in her car one day, as we had over walked from the cabin and were facing a long walk home via the country lanes which was proving too much for my old hound (and us tbh). This was such a relief. Tracey is down to earth, friendly, practical and genuinely helpful and kind. They also don't charge for a million and one add ons like many other rentals - e.g. dogs are free!
Thanks for a lovely stay 🥰

Secluded location, traditional log cabin with log burner. Plenty of outdoor space, watching pheasants and deers past your door, while swallows nesting above. Great host who goes the extra mile (including a bottle of fizz on arrival as we had just got married). Good WiFi for watching Netflix and firestick on rainy days. Nice fluffy towels and bathmat, plenty of cooking equipment and basics to get you started.
Everything was great for us!
Its an old traditional log cabin so perfectly imperfect.
It might not be for everyone as its secluded so no shops, pubs etc etc within walking distance, and some of the decor and decking a little warn but for us that didn't matter.
For those that are tall or not nibble on their feet, he mezzanine has limited head space and steep steps.
We had a lovely stay. Thank you Tracey and her family.

The lodge was really lovely and overall great value. The hosts were very helpful, sending detailed directions ahead of time and making sure we knew to ask for anything we needed during our visit. The location was lovely and peaceful and there was loads of green space directly outside the lodge for the dog to explore. Lots of do dvds and board games supplied within the lodge. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. There was also a welcome pack of milk, butter, tea/coffee and a bottle of Prosecco - lovely touch.
The sofas were somewhat uncomfortable. They were well used but I don’t think that’s a problem if they are comfy.
It would also be great if there were some throws/blankets supplied for relaxing in the main lounge area as it was quite chilly in the mornings, even in July.

from arriving the owner was lovely gave us some insight to our stay ie where to eat things to do, log cabin was lovely even a little welcome pack with a bottle of Prosecco.
this would have been a perfect stay but the owners dogs just constantly barked, late at night and early in the morning, wasn’t good as I took my 2 dogs so when theirs started so did mine 😩.

location was great for attending a wedding nearby
nice that a bottle of Prosecco provided
old everything, such steep steps to loft bed, no room up there for anything but the bed.
the drive past the shed with so much rubbish was a terrible introduction. lovely green field outside the cottage had a ride on mower sitting in the middle of it for 2 days.

The cabin was beautiful and secluded, there was everything you need for your stay from board games to dvds to badminton rackets! The host Tracey was so welcoming and informative. Dog friendly and our dog was having the time of his life with freedom to roam the land infront of the cabin.
Everything was brilliant, best weekend getaway I have had in a very long time and the dog was absolutely delighted with himself! The prosecco and welcome pack were a special touch... The only thing I didn't like was having to leave!!

Great location for a small break from city life,, Log cabin is very nice and inside nature, waking up with birds sounds,,There are all necessary items , plus many games for kids indoor and out door. Even next to log private fun fair for kids )..Our dog also enjoy alot with free area..Nice walking paths , near by river and small steam behind cabin,,Quite warm inside cabin as well,, even -1 outside, we was ok to stay without any heating. But log burner is very nice to use as well,, It is also looks very nice for stargazing,, Even cloudy weather during our stay, we can still able to see nice night sky…Over all perfect place to stay, nothing to complain at all,,

We had a wonderful 2 nights at Lyne view cabin. The owners were so friendly and helpful especially when we struggled repeatedly to get the lovely log fire going and could not have been more accommodating. The cabin was lovely, warm and cosy despite the cold weather. We loved listening to the wildlife and looking at the stars away from the noise and bustle of urban living. Our dogs loved roaming around the massive field the cabin is situated in and we all had a thoroughly good weekend. We will definitely be back! Thank you!!!!!
Nothing. Everything was great!

Lovely location and cabin , very welcoming and friendly , couldn't do enough for us , welcome pack was great
Only problem was the cold , was warm when we arrived , but wood burner / stove is too small and doesn't stay in long enough , I imagine it is perfect in spring and summer, but in freezing weather it needs to be refuelled every couple of hours so you wake up freezing !

This log cabin is great for a family stay. It was bigger than expected yet really cosy with its log burner. Set in a lovely green paddock.
Nothing I didn’t like about the property.
There is only one ‘off road’ walk from the cabin, which was unmanageable for us because of deep mud due to all the rain. Maybe avid rambles would brave it but after 2 of us slipped and fell, we decided to quickly head back and walk along the road instead.

We have just returned from a stay at Lyne View Cottage and wow, what a beautiful and amazing place! Staff were so friendly and welcoming, really made us feel valued and made a lovely feel for our stay. You guys really couldn’t do enough for us and went the extra mile - thank you so much!
Nothing - everything was fantastic!

Great log cabin and fantastic location. Very peaceful and great area for our dog to play. Tracey provided a welcome pack including a lovely bottle of white wine - thank you. Also the home-made map of a walk (approx 12k round trip) to a coffee barn worked and we were able to follow it. Lovely 3 days everything provided within log cabin. Would definitely return.

Location was excellent and private
Shower didn't work, owner didn't know about this, sleeping arrangements were difficult for 2 adults in upstairs area with practically no room to move.
With it being a log cabin it was absolutely freezing on arrival and never seemed to get any warmer with the wind blowing through the joint in the logs.

Lovely clean cabin, very welcoming with the fire lit and a bottle of wine in the fridge! Great private location with loads of space and places to walk.
