Hortus appartamento in centro storico

Great location and very well equipped

Noisy early in the morning due to rubbish being collected

spacious recently refurbished modern apartment in the very center of Orta San Giulio. excellent lay out with good kitchen facilities and lovely bathroom. no airconditioning but overhead fans.we were here during a heatwave so it was very warm during the night. there is lovely access to the lake a couple of lanes away. an abundance of excellent restaurants and the ferries that cross the lake leave literally 2 mins walk away. car parking is a about a 5-10 minute walk away so best not to have a lot of luggage ( plus on the the second floor up narrow stairs.) Alice at Visit Lake Orta who manage the apartment was very helpful with booking restaurants and getting internet fixed after a thunderstorm. a lovely place to stay

although the apartment is in a fantastic location it means it is very noisy at night, the bar across the lane is open until 2am and during the heat we had to keep the windows open. this might be a problem if one is a very light sleeper.

The apartment is in the perfect location right by the main square. It is super comfortable and ideal for 1 or 2 people. Chiara was also so welcoming, offering plenty of recommendations which made our trip so special. I would definitely come back to stay and can’t wait to be back soon.
