Brief warning that there are 2 flights of stone windy steps to access the apartment which isn't ideal if travelling with young children, but that is consistent with the historical nature of the town. Shower is quite low pressure.

A wonderful un-touristy hideaway week beside Lake Orta, and its lovely town and island.. Bene!

One of the best stays we could have had, with very open and friendly hosts, Andrea and moth GianCarla. They even arranged the (extra luxury) taxis both ways from and back to the airport. Andrea speaks very good English, and his (also Italian) mother good French. So things were easy. Andrea even gave us a car lift to a Celtic folk festival a half hour away. Grazie lei, Andrea). And his broth Mattias then met up wth us and brought us back again! The small lakeside town of Orta San Giulio was picturesque and the boat gateway to the sanctity of the monastery island of San Giulio ten minutes boat trip away. Not to mention the trip to the other side of the lake beyone it, to Pella and the steep walks up to the stonecutters' Church of Madonna del Sasso on the rock cliff top. Got us fit. Perfect accommodation in incredible location!

The property was incredibly well equipped, central and clean! Everything we could have asked for! Andrea was a fantastic communicator and explained everything making our stay incredibly comfortable. His lovely parents met us at the end of our booking to hand over the keys when he couldn’t which was very nice. Can’t wait to visit again one day!

A magical, peaceful stay in the heart of Lake Orta that felt just like home.

Our stay was wonderful from beginning to end. Andrea and his kind mother welcomed us warmly and took the time to explain everything about the apartment in detail. Perfectly located in the heart of the old town, the apartment has everything you might need. Lake Orta and Isola San Giulio are simply magical—stunningly beautiful without feeling overly touristy—and Andrea’s apartment reflects the same charm. It truly felt like a home away from home. Definitely recommend it!

Excellent apartment & host(s)

A home away from home, very well equipped, even with a CD- and a DVD-player. Very useful detailed descriptions of walks in the surroundings. Comfortable apartment, slept like a log. Even if the bathroom is small(ish), it contained everything you need, included a combined washing machine/dryer. Agree with other reviews, Andrea and his mother are very friendly and helpful. I was picked up at the train station by Andrea's parents - fantastic for an "old lady" like me. Booking a taxi for the departure was also taken care of. Only complaint: my stay was too short!

Exceptional

A great place in the old centre of Orta San Gulio, very central, yet sufficiently away from the main square to be quiet. The apartment is in an old house with a narrow steep staircase, which takes a bit of manoeuvring with the luggage, but hey-it is an old house! The apartment is well equipped and has everything you may need. The owner is very friendly and helpful, checking in and out was well arranged. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The Location of the apartment is really perfect. It is located in the downtown and very closed to the lake..just 2mins walk. The Apartment is very clean and comfortable. Particularly the host is very nice. He even prepared many things for us such as a bottle of wine, some fruits etc. we were really surprised. it was a very impressive trip. Thanks Andrea!

Excellent location, lovely flat. We were very warmly welcomed, Andrea made our arrival and departure very easy for us, thanks again, and the flat had everything we could have wanted. We visited in late autumn but had a great time nonetheless.

We were received and welcomed very friendly by Andrea and his mother. The apartment is well equipped and Andrea took great care to inform us about the ins and outs of the apartment and the possibilities of Orta San Giulio. We would like to come back!

Very enjoyable stay

We received a very warm welcome by our host, who explained everything about the location and was also accessible during the entire stay. The apartments are very centrally located, very clean, and a lot of amenities were provided to us upon arrival. Also very convenient is that free access to the town's central garage is included in the booking.

The showers of both apartments are small; we quickly got used to it, though. The streets around the buidling are quite busy until late in the night; again, whether this is a disadvantage depends on personal sensitivities; we didn't mind much.

Located right in the center of Orta San Giulio, parking nearby included, well equipped kitchen, fruit, cafe and Prosecco for free :) cosy and authentic. And windows with flyscreen!

Lovely apartment right in the middle of town. Andrea is the best host I have ever had and his and his mother is a gem. The apartment is sparkling clean and Andrea has thought of everything you may need for your stay. A wonderful host with lots of great tips for Orta and the surrounding area. Central, clean and cozy

Andrea and his mother are a very good hosts, the apartment is well equiped, clean and comfortable. They provided us even with a childchair. A free parking is included, just in a few minutes walking. Andrea helped us with everything we needed. Highly reccomend this place

The apartment is in a historical building, so it’s second floor is pretty high. But it wasn’t a big problem actually.

Appartamento fantastico che ti fa sentire meglio che a casa!

Appartamento curatissimo nel centro storico di Orta. Una piacevole sorpresa è stata l'accoglienza dei gestori che ci hanno consegnato l'appartamento meglio dotato che ci sia capitato negli anni, e sono tanti, che soggiorniamo ad Orta! Dalla camera da letto si vede il lago e tutto è pensato per rendere la vacanza come meglio non si potrebbe. Non serve portare niente da casa se non il vestiario, per il resto c'è davvero tutto! Chicca importante: la tessera per usufruire del parcheggio coperto!

Davvero non riesco a pensare a qualcosa che non ci sia piaciuto: le scale da fare a piedi sono presenti in tutti i palazzi del centro storico e per quello non ci si può fare nulla!
