A comfortable and spacious apartment in a central yet quiet location.

Location near the main piazza was good, it was spacious, well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The small balcony gave a lovely view over the piazza and lake. Wi-fi was good

We were not made aware it was on the 4th floor. We needed to walk through another landing that was grotty and smelly - cigarette butts everywhere - which created an unpleasant approach to an otherwise good apartment. The mosquito nets on the windows were inadequate, forcing us to keep the windows closed at night. The main door lock was unreliable. Tricky to get in and out.

Lovely stay on beautiful Lake Orta

The apartment is right on the main square of Orta and is close to all restaurants and the boat landings for tours of Lake Orta and the island. The apartment is very clean and extremely well-appointed with everything you need to cook and serve. The linens are of high quality, and the lovely little balcony looks over the square and the lake. There was a very helpful welcoming booklet that talked about the town. Parking is included in the price of the apartment; parking is a 15 min walk from the hotel down a set of stairs that bring you to lake level. Orta San Giulio is a nice town on a smaller lake that is very atmospheric and away from the crowds on Lakes Maggiore and Como.

The real estate agency that manages this apartment and several others could be clearer about how to access the apartment from the public parking lot. We arrived at night after a drive from Milan through a torrential rainstorm. We were late for our check in, exhausted, but Giorgio, who works for the agency, saved the day! He told us how to get to the apartment and even took our bags. He is a wonderful person with a great sense of humor. He was so helpful during the check in process. Access to lakeside Orta is strictly controlled but it is possible to access the main square by car well before 10 am. It is important to know this, otherwise there is a climb up to the level of the parking lot. Future guests should ask the agency about this access.

So well cited with all that we could need there. Amazing location in the centre of the town but quiet and private also.

Beautiful! The rooms are all laid out and decorated well with a rustic charm!

Only drawback is no air on as it was very hot but that may have spoiled the authenticity of the place.

Zentraler Aufenthalt in netter Umgebung

Die Unterkunft liegt zentral im charmanten Ort Orta San Julia. Altes Haus. Geräumig, persönlich eingerichtet, gemütlich. Großer Esstisch. Balkone, mit Blick auf Lago und Piazza. 2 Schlafzimmer. Waschmaschine.

Eines der Schlafzimmer ist schwer zugänglich. Steile enge Treppe, und Bett liegt unter schrägen Dachbalken, sodass man sehr aufpassen muss, sich nicht den Kopf anzuschlagen. Ebenso im zweiten oberen Bad. Unteres Schlafzimmer morgens recht laut, bei offenem Fenster. Möbel sind z.T. antik, zum Teil verwohnt. Unteres Bad, duschen in sehr schmaler Badewanne. Balkon so schmal, dass man sich kaum drauf umdrehen kann. Unteres Schlafzimmer hat nur wackelige Ikeakomode, keinen Schrank.

Prachtige ruime locatie in het centrum van de historische stad met een complete (eet)keuken, een grote woonkamer en dito slaapkamer op de eerste verdieping met uitzicht op het meer en het plein. Verder zijn er leuke eettentjes en winkeltjes in Orta San Giulio met voor ieder wat wils. In de omgeving is meer dan genoeg te ondernemen, de boodschappen haalden we in Gazzano bij de Tigros. In de hal bij de entree staat een professionele tafel voetbaltafel 😁. Keukenapparatuur is top, in de woonkamer staat een grote flatscreen (smart tv).

De slaapkamer met badkamer op de bovenste verdieping zal voor minder valide mensen wat lastiger toegankelijk zijn (schuin dak, krap bemeten badkamer), al heeft mij dat niet gestoord. Je kunt niet parkeren in de nabijheid van het appartement, de parkeergarage op 10 min loopafstand is gratis voor de bewoners, je kunt evenwel je auto tijdelijk voor 30 min parkeren om spullen uit te laden.
