GYANA House

Fantastic host with a great sense of humour. The room was spacious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I’ve stayed in villas and hotels across Ubud, but this was by far my favourite place. It’s perfectly located right in the heart of Ubud, within walking distance of places like Ubud Palace, Campuhan Ridge Walk, and a great many restaurants, cafes and shops. What really made this place special, though, was the host and his family. They were genuinely kind and caring throughout my stay. When it started raining, his mother brought me an umbrella without me even asking, and later she brought me fresh papaya from their garden. It wasn’t the gestures themselves that stood out, but how sincere they felt. Their kindness came so naturally and never felt like they were simply doing their job. It was also one of the best nights’ sleep I had during my 10 days in Ubud. The property is incredibly quiet and peaceful despite being so centrally located. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud. Thank you so much for everything and my best wishes to the family!

I loved everything about this property.

GYANA is right in the middle of Ubud but still far enough back from the streets, that it is quiet. Located in a family compound, you get to it via narrow walkways surrounded by all the Balinese charm and peeks into other homes, not to mention the little fountain, the home of three ducks. It’s clean, you have a kettle, a pretty garden outside your door and a bottle of water was left for me in the morning. Highly recommended. A tip if you’re taking a car out of town…let it pick you up on the busy main street instead of just at the end of the narrow alley. It’s otherwise a 20 min crawling ride to circle back onto the main street as it’s a one way street.

Nothing at all

The room was very clean, the air conditionated was at the perfect place , not directly to the bed… the room with lot of space … The bed and pillows super confortable and clean … and the space / garden outside beautiful, quite and relaxing , and we had a squirrel visiting us…and the acomodation is at the center of ubud … near Ubud palace and the night market but no noise from the street. Mr Gusman, the host, is a wonderful person , so kind and always with attention for our needs … he was so wonderful to us, and he hás a sweet sweet family… we loved the room but even more Mr Gusman and is family… we would definitely recomend this place … and if we come back … we will stay at Gyana House.

We did like everything… nothing to point in other way.
