There was everything you would need in our accommodation. Beds were very comfortable. You were quite central to most of the tourist attractions.

There was absolutely nothing I didn't like about our stay.

Exceptional location and property, very friendly and accommodating hosts, would 100% recommend.

No dislikes or niggles, the stay was perfect.

The property is in a lovely, very quiet area on the Hook Peninsula, with views right in front of the wheat fields and plenty of wild flowers around. It feels modern and comfortable, and the location is excellent—close to Hook Lighthouse and Loftus House. Parking is convenient right at the front door entrance on gravel, and the overall setting is peaceful and relaxing. It’s also well placed for days out: restaurants are about a 10-minute drive away in the next village, and the ferry to Waterford is around 20 minutes by car, costing about €10 one way or €14 return, with sailings roughly every 15 minutes.

The guesthouse was not very practical for adults. BR1 is on the ground floor and has a full king-size bed, but there’s no ensuite and no wardrobe or proper place to store clothes. The upstairs rooms are more suited to kids: BR2 is on the mezzanine level with a helical staircase and has a double mattress on the floor, and BR2.5 is the loft above BR2 with another double floor mattress. We were two adult/senior friends and would have preferred two more conventional bedrooms. Facilities were also limited. Hot water at the bathroom basin and kitchen sink wasn’t available because the heating was turned low during the heatwave, though the electric shower did produce hot water. The TV area also had only a small sofa chair rather than comfortable seating.

The property was well presented, clean and even more spacious than we had expected from the 'photos and plan drawing. Beds were all firm, but comfy. Garden had a lovely outlook and was secure for children and dog to run around in. The Kitchen was well equipped with an extensive supply of 'essentials'. Despite fronting onto the road there was no traffic noise. The recommendation to the 'Fish Lady' in Fethard's country market was 200%! Fantastic catch at great price!

Here's the 'mark down' for the 'Comfort' and 'Facilities' ...... The seating in the Living area leaves a lot to be desired. The setees, though I'm not sure that's what these should be called, were super low to the ground and uncomfortable to sit in. Worse still, those of us of a certain age, could not get up off them unaided. The dining chairs and bench weren't that comfortable either.
