We booked two small double rooms for a one night stay. They are indeed small and very basic. There is a double bed, a desk and a clothes rail, that's it. Each room has an en suite shower and toilet, which were adequate for us. There is also access to a shared kitchen/lounge. The TV in there was broken, but we didn't need a TV for one night. It was clean.
You get given a fob on a lanyard for your room rather than a key that gave you access into various areas like the games room, gym, and roof garden.
The location is great for the tram.
There were towels and basic toiletries provided in the room.
The staff that we encountered were all very polite, welcoming, and helpful.
The mattresses were 'interesting' and noisy. The bathroom sink drained very slowly. The room was very hot without the window open and noisy due to the trams passing outside when the window was open.
