    Myself and my husband stayed on 1/8/26 for the night, when we arrived the girl on reception introduced herself as Ella, check in was quick and easy and staff were lovely and chatty, we were given room 28, it was a lovely room with a kitchen and spa bath but unfortunately the tv wasn’t working in the room, usually this wouldn’t of been a problem but we’d planned a quiet relaxing night in after work was being done in our home, I went down to reception and spoke to Ella and requested a room change, she was more than happy to accommodate us and asked the lad on reception with her to go and check a couple of rooms before giving us a new one, and also a complimentary breakfast the next day to apologise for the inconvenience. We moved to room 53 and had a lovely chilled night then got up the next day and had a lovely breakfast. We have stayed here a few times before when it was 30 James St and the owners are doing there best to fix up the hotel now it has reopened as The White Star Line, it is a beautiful building with lots of history behind it, it still needs some improvements but these are purely cosmetic, the staff were wonderful and helpful and did their job with a smile on their face which in my book makes a massive difference, thank you White Star Line Hotel and we will be back for another stay.
