Wonderful

20 minute walk from city centre. Place was super accessible. Peter was an amazing host and even though we were without hot water for a bit, he still made our stay super comfortable and helped accommodate for everything. Thank you Peter ❤️

Great for a short stay

- clean, comfortable room that was very cosy - enough storage and space for a short stay - updated and clean bathroom - there was a mini fridge and stuff to make tea which was nice to have

- the location was a bit dead and a little walk from the city centre, it was quite frustrating we had to walk all the way around the property and street to get to the road that led to city, we wish we could cut through the back where the fence was since the weather was so bad and walking around wasn’t comfortable - we struggled a bit with the door locks

A lovely quiet area to enjoy my partners birthday weekend at. We would absolutely stay again.

The property was equipped with all necessities. It was very cosy with a garden view and comfortable bed! It is a great location within walking distance of the railway museum that is free on entry.Peter was the epitome of a great host and was extremely warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed his company. Looking forward to returning and exploring further.

Great host and location

Our host was so accommodating and helpful, we couldn't have asked for more. He collected us at the station on arrival, looked after our luggage during our last day and delivered it to the station when we were ready to catch our train. He also let my family park in front of the house when they came to meet us in York. So kind! The house and room were well heated and the room was comfortable. The property is situated in a great location for the station and for York.

The douvert set, it is a personal preference, but I prefer cotton sheets, synthetic satin isn't as comfortable to sleep in.

Perfect in many ways

A well located house and easy access to the city Centre. It is lovely and quiet and very spacious too. Clean and tidy with some ery thoughtful additions such as fresh water in the fridge.

Super place to stay

Peter was so helpful. Cannot rate this place high enough! It is outside centre of York but you get your own car space! Buses are plentiful as are park & ride! Wonderful comfortable bed in a big room leading out on to a garden! Shower was brilliant! Any problems Peter sorted it! We would definitely go back as it’s so good! Just round corner from Railway Museum which is a must! When new underpass is opened then it’ll be short walk into centre of town!

Its location was superb, the room was super big, tv, fridge, shower and very comfortable kids by size bed! Super!

The location was ideal, 20 mins walk from the city centre, quite residential street. The room was well equipped and extremely clean. Peter gave us a warm welcome and provided all the assistance we needed - even dropping us off in the city centre in his car!!

We didn’t stay we went elsewhere where we felt safe and comfortable

It was in the middle of a housing estate and the host was in the next room to us and he wanted to know when you was going out etc I went down to let my husband in and he appeared from no where asking what I was doing if I was going out it wasn’t comfortable we didn’t stay I sent him an email saying keys was on bed we booked elsewhere it was freaky

Everything you opened wardrobe that’s where coffee making facilities was so where do you hang clothes
