Woodstock

La struttura è vicina alla stazione, al national railway museum, a 20 minuti a piedi dal centro di York ed inserita in un complesso residenziale delizioso. L’host Peter è stato un ottimo accompagnatore ci è venuto a prendere alla stazione di persona e ci ha accompagnati nella nostra stanza.

L’unica pecca era che non c’è il bidet ma tutto sommato per il rapporto qualità/prezzo è un’ottima struttura.

Our trip to York was truly wonderful, and our stay at Woodstock made it even more special. From the comfort of the accommodation to the exceptional hospitality of Peter, everything exceeded our expectations. Peter was absolutely amazing from the very beginning. Before our arrival, he kindly offered to pick us up from the train station, but we initially declined as we wanted to explore the area on foot. When it was time to leave, he generously offered us a lift back to the station, which we gladly accepted. His kindness and genuine care made us feel safe, welcomed, and at home. He reminded me of a father making sure his family gets where they need to be safely. Saying goodbye to him at the station almost felt like saying goodbye to family, which perfectly captures the warm, homely feeling of staying at Woodstock. The accommodation itself was excellent. The room was comfortable, peaceful, and quiet, even at night, allowing us to enjoy a truly restful stay. We particularly loved the garden terrace, which was a lovely bonus. Everything was clean, tidy, well-equipped, and exactly as expected. The location was also ideal, with everything we needed close by and the train station within easy reach, making it very convenient to explore the city. Peter was always attentive and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. He also kindly shared recommendations for places to visit in York, which made our trip even more enjoyable. As someone who works in the hotel industry, particularly in Front Office, I can genuinely say that Peter ticks all the boxes when it comes to excellent hospitality. His warmth, attentiveness, and personal touch made the experience stand out. It is not just the accommodation that makes a stay memorable, but the person who makes you feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for—and Peter did exactly that. We would highly recommend Woodstock to anyone visiting York. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would definitely return.
