Brilliant apartment in a great location

This is a great apartment! It was clean, warm, stylish and very conveniently situated for York town centre, the Minster and the city walls. The kitchen was well equipped (even including a washing machine) and the apartment was in a quiet street just round the corner from a Tesco Express.

Absolutely nothing - except maybe the price for next year (looked to book for the same time and it has gone up astronomically).

Excellent stay in Gillygate

Spacious apartment, excellent kitchen and bathroom with overhead shower. Thick soft carpet The apartment is a short walk to the city.

Gillygate Rest is at the front of the building and the windows aren't double glazed so you get noise from Gillygate, but it isn't a big problem. The code for the main door and your apartment door is used for every tenant and doesn't change. I worry that this isn't safe as a previous tenant could get access to the building.

Lovely studio apartment, great location

It was a lovely space very well done. It was very clean and good facilities for a short stay. The bed was very comfortable and and we had a good nights sleep. The area was very quiet but you were right in the centre of town.

Incredible apartment and exceeded all expectations.

Spotlessly clean property with easy directions from the host on how to access the property via two door codes. The apartment had been thoughtfully and beautifully decorated with complimenting features and all of the facilities/amenities that you would require for a short stay. The area was a short walk from the centre and the area nice and quiet.

Overall a very pleasant place to stay.

The apartment was nicely decorated and clean. Good location to old town. Comfortable bed. Cosy ambiance. Nice size bedroom for two people. Nice touch, Christmas decorations and small bottles of wine selection. Nice restaurants and pubs near by, also has a Tesco express just around the corner.

The shower was a nice powerful shower yet it was a little hard to get the right temperature as valve is faulty. Parking was a bit a chore as there is no allocated parking space, so we had to find parking about 10 minutes away which cost £37. You only had 10 minutes to drop off your luggage on arrival and departure, hopefully you get lucky and find a temporary space.

Location excellent! No parking but just around the corner long stay parking available! I didn’t expect parking as your so near the Minster (swings and roundabouts) xx

Nothing was bad all good! ( don’t get me wrong if it was free it would be A1 but in life we have to pay) could not recommend this place any more to people. (We loved it)xx
