The courtyard bar, kitchen, rooms

We absolutely loved our stay at the Courtyard. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome, Melissa was so lovely, checked us in and took us up to our room. Everything was so clean, cosy and homely. Our room was on the top floor, with a huge bed, great facilities such as a fridge, kettle, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits, and we loved the idea of the shared kitchen for complimentary continental breakfast. This was ideal as we were out early in the morning around 7am during one of our days so we could eat when it suited us. Parking was nice and easy, and the meals in the hotel were to a really great standard. (I'd very much reccomend the halloumi burger!) Great vibe in the bar downstairs with a good mix of locals and guests. The staff were really helpful and friendly, in particular Niamh was lovely and definitely deserves a mention. Finally, I cannot reccomend the Courtyard enough for someone who is an anxious traveller. We drove from Manchester up to Falkirk and I am sometimes very uneasy about travelling distances such as this. I contacted the Courtyard in advance of our stay to request an earlier check in due to this snd explained my reasoning, and Melissa and Fiona responded right away to confirm they would do their best to accommodate this which was extremely reassuring for me. She even explained in a later conversation that they use a linen company which donates a portion of their proceeds to mental health charities which is such a lovely hidden detail of the 'behind the scenes' of the Courtyard. This goes to show how much Melissa really cares about her business and the suppliers she uses. I would not hesitate to reccomend the Courtyard to anyone visiting Falkirk, Edinburgh or Glasgow as both are within easy car or train distance. We are very much looking forward to booking again in February. Thank you so much to Melissa and Fiona, and we wish you all the success for the future.

Rooms were lovely and cosy and very clean

Had to enter through a riotous bar with my young daughter. Was actually very tempted to leave and find alternative accommodation as felt very uncomfortable
