Great YHA hostel with character, old 19th century mansion, overlooking a beutiful park, a bit of walk from the city, about 20 minutes. Nice big self catering kitchen (recently renovated). Staff were great, really helpful about advice about Glasgow.
Since it is three stories and there is no lift, can be a bit laborous at times climbing the stairs.

The staff were super helpful and friendly. When we needed to drop by our luggage prior to check in they made it easy. I had help using the laundry, the kitchen was clean and orderly, our room was comfortable. The location was excellent near the university, restaurants and an easy bus or two from city sights.
The room was hot, but we cracked open the window and slightly cracked the door for cross ventilation.
Also our key card stopped working after one day but was promptly reset by the front desk.

Beautiful building with old english style interior. Spacious room with a nice view over a park. Clean and comfy
There was no elevator and no AC. The walk back from town went up a very long and steep hill.

The location was not friendly at all. The were no lifts and we have to climb with heavy luggage. There was little heating however the second day the was no heating and we felt extremely cold. The bathing water was also cold the second day. It was unbearable as it was winter too.
