Sandyford Hotel

Friendly and helpful staff, was clean and tidy, provided what they said they would provide. It was a good location for kelvingrove, the botanical gardens, and University of Glasgow, but not ideal for those who want to be nearer the heart of merchant city. The bus stop for the 77 outside the door definitely made this a good location for getting to buchanon station (buses and day tours) or the airport.

There were no fans provided for the hot weather. I knew there would be no A/C and that nights were thankfully cooler, but without moving air, it took too long for my 2nd floor room to cool down. There were also no blackout drapes, so the light from the long days was not easily managed if you can't sleep with an eye mask. There was also not enough storage in the bathroom or shower for personal effects. A small shelf or two would do wonders! (Also, if you are not aware of local customs, be prepared to bring your own washcloth or loofah.)

I was greeted by a lovely smiley friendly lady at reception.. housekeepers were friendly too.. my bedroom had a sofa which made it more comfortable than sitting on the bed to watch TV.. very clean and comfortable

Some corners of the wallpaper were starting to come away and the carpet was a bit wrinkly needing to be restretched.. needs a little TLC but I would stay here again

Staff were very friendly, room was clean, breakfast was great, good location.

The room which was up in the roof was very run down, especially compared with the other rooms we seen when leaving the following morning.
