Excellent location so near to the castle
Free parking outside the hostel
Breakfast wasn't worth the £5.50 charge as no cooked breakfast merely toast, cereal and yoghurt plus tea or coffee which are free anyway.

The staff are very friendly, and the hostel has a kitchen where we can prepare coffee and breakfast. The location is perfect—the hostel itself is a sightseeing spot. The view from the window is stunning, as there is a colorful tree right outside. It is very close to Stirling Castle; we dropped off our car here, then walked to the castle and had a city walk. It is very good value for money.
The floor squeaks almost every step we take. We were worried about disturbing others, so we tiptoed with every step.

The view from our room was amazing as it had two windows overlooking the old jail building nextdoor, the tombstones around the building and the town/countryside below. All in all the facilities were not bad to be a hostel, and the room was very spacious. Surprisingly, the shower was not bad. We were there only for one night and it was a nice experience
There were two flights of stairs with no elevators and there was no drinking water in the room, only in the kitchen at ground floor. The room was a bit dated (one of the windows was a bit rotten and it was not possible to open it). The bed was hard as a rock, albeit not as uncomfortable as we were expecting.
We didn't have the possibility to drop off our luggage (but were told it's possible to arrange so the day before), and the check-in is quite late.

Location. Cleanliness. Comfortable beds.
Nothing really. Just a bit dated.

Twin room with ensuite. Great value for money. Only issue was a velux window that we were unable to open for a bit of fresh air and unable to pull down the blind so as to avoid being woke too early in the morning. In fairness, we didn't ask for any help from staff with this. Lovely lounge. Didn't use the kitchen so can't comment.

Fantastic location in historic building. Wonderful communal areas including roomy well equipped kitchen, great opportunity to meet and share stories with fellow travelers. Very safe.
Situated up a hill, but I loved walking down to Stirling in the beginning of the day….. so not really complaining.

The place where the hostel was situated was lovely
The price of the breakfast!! If you was lucky, you got a few slices of toast and a tea, not very good value at all
I know they cannot know who goes where but i had a very 'fidgety' person above me so my sleep very much disturbed .. ..

Very convenient for local services, shops restaurants and train station
I had emailed in January for a car parking space as we were travelling from England. Reply confirmed this would be facilitated however when we arrived there was no record of this and there were no spaces available. We had to pay to park out on the main street which wasn't very convenient

A well organised, reasonably priced hostel in the old part of stirling. The staff were friendly and the place exceptionally clean.
I dont like staying in hostels but this was a good one.

Great location, clean and free parking. The staff were great. Especially the receptionist who went out of her way to be friendly.

Great location, staff were lovely. Twin room, shower, toilet all great. Towels were available although we'd taken our own too. Parking was good but limited.
Room was a little warm in the 20c heat but that can't be helped due to the way the building is. More an FYI that complaint/didn't like if travelling in the summer time

Comfortable, all facilities that you need. Excellent youth hostel

We had a twin ensuite room, which was very comfortable. The location was a short walk or taxi journey to the station and Stirling centre. The kitchen facilities were good with free tea and coffee. We made our breakfast there on the day we were leaving. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We weren't sure what to expect as we had only been in a youth hostel in our younger days, but this was very good, and we would use it again.
The room was at the top of the building and might not be suitable for less able travellers who have difficulty climbing stairs.

Location, staff, room size, comfy bed and value for money.
All great, no grumbles.

Great location - right next to the old jail and close to the castle. There is a long hill to get to it but a bus will take you to a stop right outside. It’s fine as a hostel. Staff are nice. Kitchen and some common spaces are good.
The beds and flooring are loud, if you move or walk it’ll creak and wake people up. You can hear people coming up and down the stairs. The toilet, shower and sink are in the room so hopefully no one needs to poop while you’re there! It is fine but it lacks any of the things you’d hope for in a *good* hostel. No power plugs near beds, no privacy curtains.

Excellent location, near the castle and historic sites. Beautiful room, mine was the double bedded room with windows overlooking wonderful views. The flexibility to prepare your own meals - well equipped kitchen. Simple but adequate breakfast for a good price. Friendly staff
Situated at the top of a hill which was a bit of a track, but that is part of the charm TBH. Lack of shower gel or soap in the shower. Limited eateries at night, but that has nothing to do with the hostel.

Breakfast was good with plenty of choices, the staff were great, the room was spacious
The floors (our own and the one above us) were incredibly creaky! Almost everywhere you stepped made a loud creaking noise and it seemed the people above our room (107) were pacing back and forth over creaky floorboards till late!
Fortunately, all went quiet eventually!

Decor, bedding, walls, curtain very very dated. Floor really creaky and loud in the private room. Disturbed me while I was sleeping when someone walked over it.

Yha is ideally situated for a lot of famous attractions. Both myself and my sister in law thought it couldn't have served us better by it's location and friendly helpful staff.
There was nothing to dislike

Twin room. Very clean, more spacious than I expected and quite bright and airy. Sink in the main area with separate shower and loo on either side. Some storage provided (but not hanging space - I used the shower curtain rail for that). Handy bedside table & lamp and power socket, plus one chair. Bed was comfy although I did use both pillows (one per bed provided). Didn’t use any communal area so cannot comment on those. Parked free using onstreet parking immediate outside the hostel grounds.
Nothing

The location close to the castle was a bonus I had not realized. I recommend promoting that.
Comm was difficult! I was reserved for one night and asked about availability for one day earlier but no response. Your registration process FAILS when hostels are presumed full but persons are told to call directly. Utter FAIL. My only real complaint.

Nice and close to attractions. Friendly staff.
The mattress was uncomfortable, could feel the springs.
The en suite showers could do with a basket to put your things in when showering. A door on the shower rather than a curtain would help make it feel more private.
Had a bit of difficulty getting in touch with the property when coming back to collect my bag as I had stored it at the hostel after checking out.

The staff were super friendly. The view from our room was lovely as was the room, shower was clean and good. Room clean . Nice table to play cards at, kitchen area where tea and coffee available and cooking facilities, would definitely stay here again
Bed for me was hard but that's personally as hubs liked it
Romanian summer school students kicked out of the lounge at 10.30 for noise, which they were not bad actually as we're playing chess with hubby and trying to get TV on!!!

Building and our view from room were wonderful. The bed was extremely comfortable.
The floor and doors were loud. In our room we could hear everyone who walked by. It woke me up a few times.
