Location and proximity to the train station and town. Genuine staff. Lovely room and bathroom. Nice to have a little fridge and a fan as it was quite warm. Comfy bed. I left my suitcase after checkout so I didn’t have to carry it around on my last day. That was invaluable.
Some rooms noisy so avoid above the kitchens.

It’s very close to Stirling Castle. Parking space is plenty. Breakfast was good.
The room was too dark. There were only 2 table lamps by the bed. It was so odd that the ceiling light was missing from the middle of the room. The window is facing the car park which makes it impossible to have the curtain open always. We found the breakfast staff friendly but not the reception staff.
