    We would stay here again. The location was great and the atmosphere lovely. Our room was spacious and very clean. The meals very good. We highly recommend the fish and chips!

    The close proximity of the sights and the walkability to the rail station makes the GL great for the exploration of Stirling as well as linking the traveler to all of Scotland. Staff is generally caring, though ancient buildings need lots of staff to keep up. At peak season this is a tiny stretch. I will surely stay here next summer

    Great stay clean, tidy, comfortable bed. Food yummy and reasonably priced. Had dinner and Brekky.

    The hotel looks lovely from the outside and is in a brilliant location with car parking which is a bonus. Unfortunately that’s it. The entrance from the car park to the hotel is awful annd doesn’t give a good impression. Inside is tired, with stained, mismatched carpets and dated furniture. Our room was facing the street which made it very noisy at night, heightened by the fact that we couldn’t close our window. Our cracked window that is! There is no WiFi in the rooms either, just in the lobby. The mattress was not the softest, although it was just ok, but the pillows were like pancakes. We had to request 2 more. The rooms aren’t cleaned daily unless requested but we weren’t told this. All in all, the hotel needs a massive improvement for us to consider staying again. We didn’t want to try the breakfast due to previous reviews regarding this!
