Dutch House Bandarawela

Kannan was amazing! He is very professional and made our stay extra special. Lovely big pool, very clean. Gorgeous antique furniture. Stunning gardens. There were fireflies hovering around the mango tree at night. It was magical.

Everything was perfect

The view is incredible from the top of the mountain. The house is truly in Dutch style and very beautiful and whimsical. Great design. Garden is beautiful. Service is amazing, they personally made us breakfast which was a sweet touch.

Yes it is hard to get to. It’s on top of a hill, the entrance is not marked, and it’s also 30 mins from Ella. Our driver had a bit of a hard time. But is it worth it? Totally.

Lovely house up in the hills with beautifully kept garden. House is immaculately kept inside. Crisp clean white sheets. We were looked after by Kannan who was quite simply superb. Nothing was too much trouble for him and we were really sad to say goodbye to him. Delicious food and altogether a perfect place to stay.

The house itself is beautiful, very private and serene. Dinner was good.

We feel that there is a lack of preparation. The pool was cold and not clean. Drink wise they had nothing to offer but warm beer. There were no toiletries, no coffeemaker, no milk for the coffee and some bacon with breakfast was not possible. the butler feels very stressed and doesn’t listen very well. we think at this pricepoint you should do better. There is so much potential.
