An excellent stay in Ella with a lovely family as hosts! Very comfortable room and bathroom, great breakfast and the family were so friendly and helpful with laundry, tuktuks and organising taxis! Great location too - would recommend.

We had 3 x nights at Home Stay Ella early Sept, charged just over 41usd/night inc basic breakfast. After staying at many homestay b4 in Sri Lanka for 1/2 price we had high hopes. There is nowhere comfy to sit outside, only table & chairs used for brekky with no cushions. This only leaves the bed to sit on. Owner moved our washing multiple times & plumbing pipe in bathroom came off twice splashing dirty water everywhere. Nearly slipped over in bathroom shower area which is wet. The saving grace is Murunga cafe next door for fab food/drinks & were driven to train station
If this was 1/3 to 1/2 price we paid I would recommend. Owners could be friendlier & more customer focussed
