About this lodge
The Walden Lodge. A journey of discovery that began in America has come full circle and found fruition on the Welsh Coastline. Walden Lodge is a hub of influences and inspiration from one continent to another, with art and craftwork whose subjects include Welsh migration, religion and poetry. The spirit of the American transcendental movement and Thoreau’s classic book ‘Walden’ that reflects on simple living close to nature inspires the name and spirit of our lodge. 12 Years old plus only.
The space
The Walden Lodge is 800 meters to the cliff line. There are beautiful coastline walks, details are in our information booklet on arrival. Ancient pubs with open fires welcome you at the end of your coastal walks.
Well equipped kitchen with range oven and microwave, toaster and fridge /freezer. Towels and soaps supplied. BBQ and Fire pit, wood and BBQ charcoal can be brought on site. Croissants can be delivered in the mornings at an extra cost, £7.50 for four including marmalade.
Gold award for Tourism from Visit Wales and Visit Britain.
