We had a very enjoyable weekend - the hotel looked lovely and Christmassy inside and out!

We came for a party - it was a fantastic evening! Our room was comfortable - but I think a touch overpriced compared with others! We booked very early and 'others ' booked later but seemed to get a cheaper and better price. The shower was excellent and the toiletries nice. The bed was OKish! My husband liked the coffee machine. Hairdryer good. Breakfast buffet looked very appealing and tasted good - hot breakfast good although I wanted my egg turned and that didn't happen but egg was nice! All in good.

Overpriced, tired hotel with poor facilites.

The staff were lovely and helpful. Location was good for our concert venue. Breakfast was good.

For a four star hotel, we expected higher standards. Our room smelled of damp and carpet heavily stained. The room was very tired with old furniture and old beds. No room fridge. We thought our rooms would be within the hotel courtyard but they were located across the street from the main building. The bar / lounge area was cold and unheated. There was no evening food available.

Not as good as before

The hotel is in a good location .

The bar had the rugby match blasting and it wasn’t cosy. The outside doors opened straight into the bar and we had to get up and close them as it was cold. As a 4 star hotel and rated the best in Swansea , the hotel didn’t offer any food choices apart from breakfast . At breakfast service, you had to get your own tea and coffee . The staff just took your order, served it and then cleared up after you had finished instead of clearing the table of used dishes during your meal for you to have room to place the cooked breakfast . The room in the Town house, we stayed in overlooked the back of Sainsbury’s and had lorries delivering very early in the morning so I had a disturbed sleep.

Would definitely stay here again as in a great location and a historic hotel.

The staff were all very professional and friendly and gave great service. The bar is lovely to sit in and the service and ambiance were great. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.

We were in the townhouse rooms over the road from the hotel, which was ok but the attic room felt slightly cramped, although the size was fine, but ceiling heights a bit lower. The rain woke us up during the night as it was very loud on the attic ceiling.. but I don't blame you for the rain !!

Location, parking, staff, comfortable quiet room. Breakfast had plenty of options and food good. Have used this hotel successfully on a previous occasion, so a pleasure to return. We did pay significantly more this time (possibly we had "a deal" the first time?) but felt it was worth it.

Incredible stay

Everything was on point, the breakfast was incredible. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The bar had several options available, and of course you can order some to your room. The staff is really friendly and the rooms are amazing. The main building itself is a beauty.

You will need to ask for toiletries and others if needed. There was no restaurant so not much to choose from when arriving late at night. There are several options for dinner outside though.

I had a good but challenging evening

The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful beyond the call of duty

Staying across the road and round the corner. Closing the short route to the room, requiring a wet trip via the front entrance. Complicated and poorly signed door entry and entrance. Naming the rooms instead of numbering them (cute but confusing). Poor breakfast. Lift closed on my (very fragile) hand causing the skin to tear (great help from reception)

We wanted to stay in the magnificent old building.Instaed we were shipped out to an annexe.At the endo of the evening you had to walk outside to your room.We should have been informed of this when we booked.

Not what we were expecting at all

Close to city centre. Breakfast was good.

Room wasn’t the cleanest, smelt of old mop, and there was a half eaten biscuit on the chair! For £240 a night. This wasn’t what I was expecting. We’d booked a night away to celebrate and relax, however we were awake til 2.30am (Morgan’s did warn us there would be loud music to be fair) but the people staying next door were having some sort of party, as we were in an outside room, there were people coming and going to their room, they were outside our door shouting, swearing, arguing. Not the vibe we wanted at all. The gap underneath the door was quite big and we could hear every word, the walls were also quite thing. Every time I dropped of to sleep someone else would bang their door and then the door would slam shut again! The court yard was also full of drunk people, crying , having some sort of drama, when we returned after our show, which was quite unsettling as again that’s all we could hear from our room. Also, car park was too full to park in as there was a wedding, so do not expect free parking if you stay here. Be prepared to park in multi story which is £30 a night, and walk to property. Really dissapointed after paying £240 which is a price we’d usually pay to go to one of our fave spa hotels. Only stayed here for the location for a show. Gutted, will not return.

Disappointed and not worth the money.

Check in was OK

The bedding was not ironed. The ensuite bathroom was across a hallway and was not heated. There was a spotlight hanging from the ceiling. There was an evening function taking place and we could hear the noise from this through the vent in the bathroom. We were not able to use the complimentary parking as this was full up, so had to pay for nearby parking. The room had wooden floors but no rugs, which made it cold underfoot. We woke up to a note from the night porters advising that there was no hot water and also no hot breakfast available. Really disappointed when we paid £252 for this room. We complained at reception but was told that no refund as possible and that we would have to wait for a manager to call us. I will be pursuing a refund on this stay.

Great in all respect but one

staff and facilities

there were weddings held there each night and they used the bar/lobby for each one. That was understandable however they played exceptionally loud music and even when the wedding festivities were not in the bar/lobby, they had on extremely loud hard rock music, which made it impossible to enjoy the bar or even to make yourself understood in a simple conversation.
