This truly historic hotel was beautiful in every detail from the bedrooms to the dining and public rooms, terraces and gardens.. We were given a very generous upgrade to a four poster room because we were celebrating my husband's 75 birthday. The breakfast and afternoon tea were both good.
Nothing, it was all great. One thing I think would improve the stay would be better tea and coffee options and fresh milk in the rooms. Instant coffee and no herbal teas was unusual in such an upmarket hotel

Quiet, fascinating building, outstanding food, lovely staff
No cask beer, electric vehicle chargers had still to be turned on - but these are tiny gripes
