The only very minor negative for me personally was the size of the bathroom. I’m disabled and would’ve liked a slightly wider bathroom but it was perfectly sufficient

Beautiful Manor House very quiet in lovely Devon. Beds extremely comfy. Lovely clean modern bathrooms parking on site.

Only downside is no restaurant for dinner. Easy to eat out though with lots of local places around.

Delightful oasis of calm to break two long motoring journeys. Wish we could have stayed longer.

A lovely characterful property in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay in Room One which had dual aspect views over good sized gardens and then into the peaceful countryside. Comfortable additional seating with ample room for ourselves and our poochon. Lovely attentive hosts and nothing too much trouble👍

A warm and peaceful place to stay to get away from everything.

The question is what didn’t we like. The manor is really beautiful, surrounded by well maintained and gorgeous gardens. The real thing is the small details. We were told straight away we could use all of the garden, there was a teapot to make a proper cup of tea in our room and extra towels and flannels. Everything looked clean and modern - we wanted to chill (as we were on our honeymoon) and the room felt like we could stay in it all day. Also, a proper sized bath in the en suite - makes a difference when you are 6’5”. The hosts, Jake and Jane, are lovely and made us feel welcomed as soon as we walked in. Everything seemed so relaxed and easy and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Nothing, but if an even meal was offered we and most guests would take you up on that because the hosts where just friendly and welcoming.

A cosy cottage escape

Very comfortable accommodation in a lovely setting. The bedroom was spacious and well equipped; the super king bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were efficient and very welcoming. The cooked English breakfast was great value for money.

A comfortable and relaxing few days.

We stayed for two nights at Collaven Manor on a family recommendation and we were not disappointed. Everything was perfect from the owners, cleanliness, comfort, peace and tranquility. The breakfast was delicious and it was enjoyable to chat with Jakes as her served our food. On one of the evenings we bought food for our dinner and Jake and Jane kept it in the fridge for us, we ate in their beautiful garden watching the sunset.

The accommodation is a beautiful old building which welcomes you as soon as you open the front door. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed and adequate facilities. Breakfast was excellent and well served by the very attentive host. We would definitely stay again.

An absolutely beautiful little mansion, our room was equipped with everything we needed and we felt really comfortable and cozy. The breakfast was very delicious and most importantly the hosts were extremely friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend!
