The host was so very accommodating, showed genuine kindness and so very caring. Communication was excellent and check in instructions thorough and detailed for a smooth check in. Her home is warm, super clean and homely. The bedding and towels were so very fresh, I had a superb nights sleep. I met her wonderful cat and we all had a lovely conversation. She made the guests cupcakes which were delicious and allowed me a later check out. It was a very heartwarming experience and I enjoyed my additional time with her glorious feline for company. Thoroughly recommend and should I be in the area again I will most certainly be making a reservation. Many thanks for your kindness ✨

Great for a spot to spend the night, but not long term

The location is very convenient to Edinburgh. You can walk about 7 minutes to a bus and take the one bus for about 30 minutes to the Royal Mile. The single bedroom was adequate. It had a desk where I could do my work, and I used the linen closet to store my luggage, etc. Parking can either be in front of the buildings, the house is one set of buildings behind the parking lot, or you can use the lot behind the building. The cat was a bonus. Let me pet it. Near the bus stop is a Aldi, so you can buy snacks etc.

You are sharing the house with the owner, who is in one of the three rooms upstairs. The walls are pretty thin, so I could hear everything, and people could hear me, I had to work, which wasn't ideal for other guests, etc. The shower is on the small side, but the bathroom was doable. My biggest problem was the lack of an eating place. There isn't really an option to store food and cook, nor a table to eat at, so I only prepared instant oatmeal or soup from the kettle's hot water and ate standing up in the kitchen. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and spend the night, this accommodation will fit the bill. But, if you are there to LIVE, cook, work, etc, it isn't the ideal location. The host was perfectly nice, but it really wasn't what I needed for my trip. Also, the single room bed is very soft, and that hurt my back. The wifi was good enough for a zoom conference call.

Great location; very close to a bus stop into the city and an Aldi for food. Exceptionally clean and I was able to wash my clothes which was great.and the cat is sooooo beautiful

Pleasant room in well kept house

Comfy room, clean bedding, nice house.

Wifi didn't work for me, always connected without Internet. It was hard not to make a noise & trying not to wake others. I didn't like opening cupboards to search fir things like a toaster, cups, cutlery.

I'd recommend it as a great value place to stay quite near to central Edinburgh.

I feel it was good value and things worked out well overall. Everything was clean. Room size was quite reasonable + well equipped.

Apart from slight mix up and delays with other guests a couple of times, it was a perfect experience in a shared house. Many thanks!

Lieu propre et hôte très accueillante

La personne qui est accueille est très gentille et discrète. On a la possibilité d'utiliser la cuisine comme bon nous semble, ce qui est plutôt pratique.

Le seul petit bémol est qu'il peut y avoir jusqu'à trois chambres louées, ce qui signifie 5 à 6 personnes qui se partagent l'étage, dont la salle de bain. Cela engendre du bruit et n'est pas forcément très pratique pour l'utilisation de la salle de bain si tout le monde en a besoin en même temps.
