The Falcon - Apartment 11

The location is very close to the station with a pleasant access pathway between the apartment blocks off Toft Green. It is close to Micklegate Bar and therefore easy access to the City Wall Trail. It's also a relatively short walk into the centre. The rear access to the charming historic Falcon Pub during opening hours was helpful, and the landlord, James, was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Having 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which suited our needs perfectly.

The access to the property was around the back of the building and not next to or through the pub The Falcon as we had rightly or wrongly assumed. There were 2 flights of steps outside to access the building itself, not great when it is raining, and further stairs inside to reach the door of the apartment. Two of the double bedrooms were accessed by another staircase. This would have been fine, but we were travelling with my 89 year old mother, which I had mentioned to the hosts. She found this very difficult and tiring. Fortunately one of the bedrooms and a bathroom was on the main floor so once inside she didn't have to exert herself further.

The location of the apartment was great...inside the city walls, about ten minutes walk from the station, at the quieter end of the city but only twenty minutes walk to the centre. The apartment was as described and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, two lovely showers, great living spaces...

Being VERY picky, third bedroom could do with a mirror, and the third fan had a broken plug.

Great location near to the station and the centre of town. The apartment itself was well maintained and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

The water pressure was a bit low in the bathrooms. There were a lot of stairs, which wasn't mentioned in the booking information. The stairs didn't bother us but may not be suitable for everyone.

Great location, very clean apartment . Lovely apartment with good heating & WiFi connections in the rooms

Not elderly friendly. Many narrows stairs to navigate. Slippery bathtubs . Rubbish bin has only 1 thin bag. No extra and the one given broke when we lifted the garbage. Heater didn’t work the 2nd day . Have to boost it & wait an hour.
