294 - Il Mare alla Finestra a Vernazza, Cinque Terre

La ubicación, apenas 20 escaleras desde el mar. Las vistas desde la ventana del salón. El sofá cama muy grande y bastante cómodo. Habían dejado agua fresca en la nevera. Smart TV con apps y buen wifi.

Falta mantenimiento en mobiliario. Faltaban algunas cosas que para nosotros eran importantes y las tuvimos que comprar (aceite, lavavajillas, pinzas de la ropa, trapo de cocina, bayeta..) pero nada como para quejarnos. El lavaplatos estaba roto. El anfitrión un poco seco, una vez dejé el apartamento, ya no respondió más. La habitación es muy pequeña, mucho más de lo que se ve en las fotos, 5 m2 si llega, pequeña para 2 adultos. El campanario, aunque nada achacable al apartamento, es una auténtica turra.

Excellent location! Beautiful view of the water. Some may have complained of noise from the piazza but we didn’t find it that bad and died down around 11pm so we slept with the windows open. (Church does not ring the bells at night)

Slightly run down with a few minor things broken. Very minor issues with everything else excellent!

No breakfast, not even coffee or tea. While the location is beautiful and not too far from the train station, the apartment itself is pretty tiny. It does have a full bathroom with a small washing machine, but no way to dry your clothes other than hanging them out your window. Extra bedroom was essential for luggage. The view from the window is beautiful, it is very close to the beach and the town Square. I don’t know that that offsets the uncomfortability of the apartment however. Also no hot water for showers the times that we showered.

Well, first off the host was very unresponsive. He seemed like he was going to be great with all the instructions he gave at the beginning, but it took us a half an hour to get a hold of him when we got there to get our keys. With it being a lockbox and we already paid full price. It should’ve been an easy opening the lockbox. But he required a video and pictures of us standing at the door before he would give us the code and was unresponsive for that for 30 minutes. I also asked about luggage storage twice once before we arrived and the same night we arrived. Never got an answer. No luggage storage in Vernazza that we could find. Checkout was very early at 10 AM which is completely unacceptable per tourist standards. I Messaged hours before asking for an hour later check out as we were kept up till midnight from the sounds below and never received an answer. A cleaning lady showed up at our apartment at 9:45 AM. The beds were super uncomfortable and the pillows were rock hard. Made sleep impossible and then The main issue is that the church Belltower goes off from 7 AM until 10 PM every day and it rings 50 times at 7 AM. There are also no screens on the windows so you can’t leave the windows open as there are mosquitoes and flies. It would be convenient to have a comfortable bed and pillows, along with earplugs and or sound machine. Only gave two bottles of water and no coffee or tea to be had. Did have a coffee maker, but nothing to put in it. There are only cafés in town no real grocery stores. No rugs in the apartment at all so dirt and sand get everywhere. No beach towels. The cabinets in the bathroom and the kitchen need to be replaced as they are falling apart and don’t shut very well.
