Nice caravan but hit and miss

The caravan was in a good location, very nice and homely, comfortable bed with fresh bedding. Good outdoor seating area and tables/chairs. Some of the place was very, very clean and some of it wasn't. The main areas were very clean, like the work tops, toilets and bathroom and living area. The cutlery, utensils, mugs, glasses, plates, bowls were mostly clean but most of the trays, pots and pans were really dirty and looked like they'd just been rinced and put away. When arrived and first entered there was dirt and crisps scattered over the kitchen floor, like the cleaner ran out of time and didn't sweep/ hoover which didn't leave a good first impression sadly because it is a nice caravan. The hot tub was lovely (but the jets were really weak and didn't work properly). The owner was very helpful and tried to sort the issue by contacting the on-site hot tub maintenance team, who came round but didn't fix it. It was the same when we tried it later that evening but smelt heavily of chlorine, so they didnt fix the issue unfortunately ( they were only there 2 mins). It was our 2nd to last night out of 3 so we just put up with it becsuse It was still nice to be outside in the water but would have been better with hot tub jets obviously. We didnt want to spend anymore time chasing up or complaining to the site services ect, we focused on enjoying the holiday, watching the planes, walking up by Tattershall castle and the side of the jet ski lake and river. Unfortunately you can't walk around most of the lakes because lake side caravans. Guest services recommended a nice dog walk at the back of jet ski lake, you can see Tattershall castle and the church from the feild walk or continue along the lake side to the river and views of Conningsby RAF base and see planes take off/land. We didnt buy passes but would recommend getting passes if you can afford them, especially if you have a family.

On arrival, there were crisps, dirt and crumbs on kitchen floor and dining chairs which i had to clean once we had unpacked. Dirty cooking items, pots pans with bits if food stuck all over them. Dirty tv remotes with several white human hairs stuck to them ( I cleaned them even though we didnt use the tv). Just needs some attention to detail to make it spot on and clean everywhere. We cleaned everything we used and more unfortunately maybe other guests don't. The hot tubs jets were weak in one corner and pretty much none existent everywhere else. The hot tub maintenance team just put more chlorine in but didn't make any attempt to fix the jets or blocked filter or whatever the fault was. They only stayed about 2 mins.

Disappointed has I didn’t expect to clean a caravan that I hired for few nights on our arrival however the hot tub was

The hot tub and location.

The caravan wasn’t clean on our arrival, cooker was full of dogs hairs, dust and caravan was full of dead bugs and ants was all over cooker, kitchen cupboards and floor. Kitchen floor was filthy with other peoples mud prints. Empty wrappers left in freezer with other people’s lollies and food and the food trays for oven had been used and full of dog hairs. Used spoon was left on kitchen sink, cob webs was all kitchen, with lots of collection of flies and food bits underneath table. Dogs poop strains all over carpet and stains corner sofa. Kitchen table chair was broken. I did let the caravan owners know and ask if I had photos which I told them twice I had and I didn’t get reply and said they would replace chair asap and didn’t.

Excellent

Fully equipped from an air fryer to the hot tub, staff came and checked the hot tub everyday, walking distance to the Shop, spacious and clean, en suite in main bedroom was a bonus. The Xbox went down well and the large shower in the bathroom aswell. The hosts have thought of everything, would highly recommend and rebook

Fantastic!

The pictures don’t do the caravan justice, it’s beautiful, well looked after and spotless! The location is ideal as it’s close to all the facilities but still in a quiet, peaceful part. The hosts have thought of everything, the welcome pack was so helpful (they supply you with all local medical centres, local shops, takeaways, hairdressers) thank you so much for a great stay, we will definitely be back!
