Really enjoyed our stay.

Great location for us, visiting family, we arrived by train, it's virtually opposite station. Located close to town centre, shops and restaurants. It's certainly cosy with everything you need for a lovely stay.

Cosy cottage was ideal for our short stay away.

We were away for a family wedding, the property was close to both the train station and the wedding venue so suited us perfectly. Communication from Lucy was very good via email and text, she was extremely helpful.

WE were only away for 2 nights so really only needed a base to sleep. Had we stayed longer then the lack of spare cutlery etc could have been an issue.

Good location. Stairs are dangerous so beware.

The property was in a good location as we travelled by train. Beds were clean and comfy.

The facilities were basic and no provisions provided, although there is an Aldi near the station. I would refer to comments left previously, especially the issue concerning the stairs and no handrail as my guest did fall on the last three stairs quite badly. Also the electric socket was still off the wall and I notice these issues were referred to in reviews from May and January this year. When we arrived the heating and hot water was not working which was resolved on contacting the owner.

It’s ok for short stay

Good kitchen, the location is convenient as close to the train station. Decent house size. Nice to have a washing machine but no washing powder. Have a garden so can sun-dry washings there but the neighbor’s dogs barked to us when any of us tried to enter the garden. So we ended up going to laundry for cloth-drying instead.

No wardrobe for hanging up the clothes. The house on the main road so it’s a bit noisy. Would have been more comfortable if the house could be made more clean on our arrival. One incident - electricity was gone and luckily the host responded quickly and added credit to the meter so sorted out within hrs.

The location was good. It wasn’t too far from where we were studying. The car park was right opposite the house and not expensive. There were a number of places to eat within a very short walking distance.

The bathroom was accessed via the small bedroom. Fortunately, there was a toilet downstairs so the person in the small bedroom wasn’t disturbed during the night. We were concerned about the electrics. One of the plugs was hanging off the wall and another didn’t seem to be working at all. The toaster wasn’t working and on our last morning the kettle didn’t work either. We ended up boiling water in a pan. There is no bannister or hand rail on the stairs.

We would definitely go back if the shower was fixed.

We were unable to take a shower during our stay because the shower barely had any water and the water was always cold.
