Tired and dirty flat

the location is superb with easy access to shops and the station.

Apart from the excellent location, the property was unfortunately very disappointing. The flat was noticeably dirty, and we even found previous guests’ dirty socks under the bed when we looked for a missing item. The whole space could benefit from a fresh coat of paint, and the laminate floors are lifting, exposing grit and grime underneath. The shower barely trickles and is extremely temperamental—swinging between scalding hot and freezing cold. Both mattresses in the bedrooms were uncomfortable: one has springs poking through, and the other sinks heavily in the middle. We were also only provided with two towels for a family of four. Although the host responded quickly and brought more later that evening, this should have been prepared in advance. Overall, compared with other properties we’ve stayed at in the area, this one is significantly overpriced and does not offer good value for the cost.

Perfect for our needs.

Realy liked the location and the property was clean and well equipped. Realy liked the proximity to shops and the suggestion from the owners re asking car park owners(Tesco) for a parking space was spot on.

Access prooved a little tricky with minor issues with the lock box, but this was rectified with relative ease. Decor was a little tired with a few stains on carpets, walls and floor covering. However these did not distract from our comfort or stay one but and can be put down to popular accommodation and wear and tear.

Dissatisfied. The rating on bookings.com was 8.9! This property was a six at best.

The location was central but in a lane with many commercial bins that were overflowing with rotting waste . Beds were not very comfortable. The kettle had been used to boil milk by the previous tenant and was unusable.

This is a very comfortable apartment that is well located

It is a really comfortable apartment that is well located. I found it a good base to manage what I needed to do in Bishop's Stortford, and being on the doorstep of shops and a supermarket was really helpful. The WIFI worked well.. The host was very obliging and understanding when we arrived earlier than expected and when we asked if we could check out later than 11 am, doing his best to accommodate us. I would definitely stay there again.

A tiny suggestion: consider adding a casserole dish for use in the oven. The parking-lot entry, with loads of cigarette butts near the door, is not great - but I imagine there is little the host can do about this except complain to Tesco.

Great location, and great stay with the family. had everything we needed for a weekend as we visit family nearby. Flat was warm, comfy, and enough space for 2 adults and 2 kids. We will be back, it was excellent.

The only minor negative was the shower, which was not very powerful, but not bad enough to still give this property a 10/10,

The photos show how nice the apartment is. The photos are not in sequence. My flight was delayed and a needed a stopover

Location, situated right on the main street opposite Marks and Spencer. A good Sainsbury up the hill, small town nice shops. Perfect place to stay and stock up before a flight.

I am not very good with modern devices and found the shower a bit difficult to operate. Otherwise everything was pretty straightforward.

Superb apartment in a great central location! We loved our stay. Would definitely return in the future. Decor is clean and modern Beds were really comfy!

Super location, clean, but some issues with amenities.

The apartment was clean and in a super location in the centre of town. We enjoyed spending time in the kitchen/living area. Self check-in was easy once the code was sent through on the day.

The wifi didn't work to begin with, even though it was plugged in. It was behind a locked door so it was difficult to work out what the problem was, but we did eventually manage to get it turned on. The shower cord was difficult to use, we had to pull it at an angle and give it a hard tug.

Great location made the weekend away very enjoyable

The apartment is very central and in a fairly quiet location. It is right next to a Tesco and all the rest of the high street shops. Its set back from the road so you don't hear any noise. The flat was very clean and the host was very attentive and nothing I asked was an issue. I would say its best to drop your things off and then drive around the corner to the car park on Apton Road it is £4.85 for a day and if you are staying for a weekend then its free after 6:30pm and free all day sunday.

Any issues I did have I raised with the Host and they sorted immediately so nothing ruined my stay. The only thing I would say is when you get there make sure the fridge is turned down to 1 or 2 as I put some Milk in and I did not realise it was on 5 and it was like ice. Not a bad thing as I only used it for coffee etc but the only thing I would say to look out for. Top Tip -When you get there and unlock the front door if you pull the top latch towards you then the deadlock at the bottom opens a lot easier.
