This spacious private apartment is situated in the centre of Bishop Stortford's quirky town centre, only a stones throw away from all of the delightful pubs, bars, restaurants and shops that are along the high street.
The property is also a 5 min walk from Bishop Stortford Train Station which offers regular rail services to London Liverpool Street and Cambridge, or a 10 min drive to Stansted Airport.
A self contained apartment with its own stairway offers any traveller the peace and comfort they require on their stay, walking distance to some of best amenities in Hertfordshire. This apartment comes with:
- Fully equipped kitchen catering for all of your cooking needs.
- Fridge freezer, oven & hob, cutlery, kettle, toaster, microwave.
- 2 Double beds.
- Freshly cleaned linen.
- High speed internet.
- Shampoo, conditioner & shower gel.
- Tea, coffee & sugar.
We also now have a sofa bed installed to create extra room for guests! Please note we have not increased maximum occupancy which remains at 4 people, but means that the sofa bed provides extra sleeping facilities in case two people don't wish to share a bed.

The location of the property is fantastic, right in the centre of the town where you can find loads of options for coffee, breakfast, lunch and a Tesco express just on the corner. I loved the fact the hosts have a WhatsApp group for you as a guest to ask questions to which the response times were very quick. Would recommend the property for short term stays,

The location for this property is very central and handy for everything in Bishops Stortford. However on arrival we found there was no parking but fortunately were able to get Tesco Express to allow us to use a space for the duration of the stay. The entrance hall was dirty on arrival, not a big issue but not great first impression. The property itself has 2 good size bedrooms, bathroom and large kitchen/lounge area. Real issues that need addressing are:
1. Beds (especially 2nd bedroom) need replacing which are hugely uncomfortable and we got little sleep.
2. Shower needs replacing as it’s completely useless giving out just a dribble when we did manage to get it to work.
3. Sofa needs cleaning properly in lounge, we lost the TV remote and lifted the sofa cushions and it was disgusting. It only seats 3 at best which again wasn’t ideal when you have 4 people staying.
4. No microwave in property which was a real hassle to heat food on the stove or cooker.
5. Fridge - Freezer compartment needs defrosting because it resulted in our food in the fridge freezing.
6. Washing machine - needs replacing as rusty and did a terrible job of cleaning clothes.
7. The overall property could also do with a fresh coat of paint and clean as it looks very tired and has had a lack of maintenance.
If the above is addressed I think the property could be a great place to stay but for us it was a real disappointment.
