I left the same night within not even one hour waste of money

When you enter the property you have a door on your right hand side what is connected to the main house to where there was a dog barking as soon as I was walking in on the left-hand side there was a curtain with stuff behind it. Very untidy soon as I walked in facilities Not clean at all.

Property was not clean. Didn’t look like anything on the website.

Good proximity for walking into Bishop’s Stortford Andrew the host was very responsive and helpful.

There were so aspects that needed cleaning, cob webs on ceiling and around furniture

Functional but dirty

Good location, great communication from the host and suitable for a quick stay.

Sadly the apartment was very dirty - every piece of kitchenware needed washing before use due to dried food inside and out, mould along the windows, lots of hairs on the shower doors. We were ready to leave by the end before we noticed more dirty things.

Nice quiet private studio apartment

A lovely nights stay at this studio apartment with a large bathroom, useful kitchen & seating area. There is also a small terrace for sitting when the weather is good. I didnt meet the owner but he was very quick to respond to questions about the booking

The only downside is the distance from the train station. I walked but if you dont have a car it might be better to taxi. I arrived after dark and it was drizzling & cold. The 20 minute slightly uphill walk seemed longer. It was difficult to see the entrance in the dark

It was all I needed to stay one night and the owner was very accommodating

I wanted a fridge as on my way to a house sit. It had off road parking which was good and secure and also very quiet.

Needed new pan and a few more utensils but adequate for one night stay.

A pleasant studio apartment that required a refresh.

It was close to Stansted airport and they offered parking and a shuttle service which was an added bonus. The owner was very pleasant.

The property was clean but could have been cleaner. There were areas that lacked care. The bed was in need of replacement as the right side especially was very used. There were polyester sheets on the bed!!!!

Great little gem!

Brilliant way to make room for renting out. Lovely little space, shops only couple of minutes away. Communication with owner fab all the way through and also offered parking and airport transfers at good price too! I was never expecting to stay in a room on the side of the owners property but still felt really private. Very clever business idea. Whole room lovely, mini kitchenette for a brew or if you wanted to make food, had everything you could think of and more! Bathroom perfectly sufficient. Only a short hop to airport too. Even had a small garden area to sit out if you wanted to. Wouldn't hesitate to book agsin if we were flying from Stansted

A convenient little apartment for a quick stop.

It was a very quiet neighborhood. A grocery store about 5 minutes away. The apartment was compact but big enough and neatly arranged. Bed was very comfortable. Very convenient for one night. Owner was very friendly and he lived next door so he was always available and even drove us to the train station the morning after.

Location was much further from train station than I had imagined. Few attractions nearby. We arrived late so the center was too far away for a quick walk. Shower was good but temperature fluctuated.

Disappointed

The bed was a little softer than we're used to, but it was quite comfy. Free wifi & Netflix available. Iron & ironing board also available.

The smell of dogs hits you when you walk in through the front door. The hallway leading to the apartment was full of the owners clutter. There was a foldaway table on the wall that didn't work! There was half a toilet roll in the bathroom that was supposed to be enough for two people! The shower was a bit grubby, nothing a bit of Viakal wouldn't sort out. The shower took a few minutes to warm up, but then it only had two settings...HOT & SCALDING! Would advise the owner to try taking a shower in it! Larger towels would be advisable. The milk in the fridge was a nice gesture, but it was an open topped bottle (no lid) that was half full? Not very hygienic! A sealed bottle would be a better idea. The fridge is right next to the bed and although there's a sign saying it's on a timer, it's still a bit noisy. The whole apartment just needs a deep clean & refreshing.

Did what we needed but was a bit disappointing

Very helpful host & good comms

We let our own properties out for almost 25yrs so we know what it’s like to have guests. This apartment/studio s a little bit tired & needs a good clean. The decking area outside hasn’t been swept for months, there was a cigarette butt lying on the gate. Cobwebs & dust under the bed & the kitchen tap was almost hanging off. Down the side of the fridge is very dirty.

Will happily stay again

Completely self-contained. Very friendly and helpful host. And the fresh milk in the fridge was a very welcome gesture for that cuppa first thing in the morning. Very handy for Stansted Airport. Great value for money.

In a fully residential area so felt a little bit out of the way even though town centre was only a 15 mins walk away

Such a great stay

The Owner was amazing, gave me a great deal for transport as well, couldn't have been a nicer guy House was cozy, loved the balcony outside, the amazon bot, TV was great and Bed was super comfortable. The fact it had a little integrated kitchen and a big bathroom were an excellent plus, loved the whole thing

Great little apartment!

Really friendly host, great communication, nothing was too much trouble. The apartment is super cute and the bed is one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. We flew into Stansted and it is only a 15 minute drive from the airport. We arrived late and remote access was exactly as described and without a problem. Sofa bed was all made up ready for the kids! Would highly recommend.

Comfortable stay

Great communication with the host. It was clean and tidy on arrival. The bed was very comfortable and milk in the fridge was much appreciated. The towels were a bit jaded and there was no dishcloth to wash dishes but they were minor negatives.

The mattress was very comfortable and the room was well heated.

Perfect place

Best place ever, absolutely amazing , the host is always available to help and the place is awesome, very very clean, with all commodities, quiet place, Netflix and Wi-Fi available for free, heating, a very comfortable bed, hot water, a kitchen with all you need to make a good meal, couldn’t ask for more.

Good value

Nice place to stay,but it is a studio apartmant,has a good size bouble 🛌 2 small armchars, and what can be opened. It is a single room ,a barhroom with a swower,and a back yeard,where you can smoke or take a coffee. Owner verry helpful,he allowed us to do chek out later for free.

Adequate but not Delux

Location was good for reaching the town centre - 15 minute walk. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had a reasonable supply of cutlery and crockery.

The heating was a bit haphazard as at times, even though the room was cool, the radiator remained cold despite us increasing the radiator thermostat as advised by the host. Admittedly our visit was during a very cold spell, the apartment has 3 of its walls to the outside and a has a flat roof so it’s difficult to insulate fully but all the same the heating should have been on at all times in an effort to make the inside warmer. Although the duvet was adequate a thicker one is needed during the winter months and provision of a thick blanket would be much appreciated instead of having to put outdoor coats on top to make the bed warmer. The cleanliness of the apartment could have been much improved as there was an abundance of lime scale deposits on all taps, shower screen and kettle. The kettle was particularly bad as, even with the spout filter in place, pieces of scale were always evident in cups of tea and coffee. On the hob the area round and under the knobs had grease and dirt which could easily be cleaned by pulling off the knobs instead of just wiping round them. Most horizontal surfaces in the windows were dusty and window frames were in need of a good clean. With regards the TV there was no provision to watch live TV other than through streaming services such as BBC iplayer, ITVX, etc. I realise that this is the way for many people but we do prefer to be able to see a TV guide and change channels easily instead of having to load up the different streaming services each time. I would say the apartment is adequate for a one night stop before going to the airport but it is far from the “Delux Apartment” that was described on my booking confirmation!!
