Fabulous host who went the extra mile to do a quick turnaround and allow early checkin

very close to amenities and recreation areas

The front door opened onto a rubbish collection area from nearby restaurant. Staff took breaks in that space and were noisy at times.

Not as i expected

Cleaner place needs a good deep clean, and decorating. Wash sink needed a new plug as the one didn't fit. Windows were pretty dirty inside and out. Cushions on sofa needed replacing smelt dirty. Oven had been used from previous ppl was dirty.

Bedroom clean and comfortable bed. Bathroom nice but could do with a shelf or towel rail.

No bath mat, plug didnt fit sink. Wood floor was tired and damaged in kitchen/living room. Dirty cooker, dirty scratched saucepans and unusable filthy oven trays. Odd crockery and utensils. All water marked. Lack of plates, one egg cup! Advertised fridge/freezer which turned out to be small fridge with ice box. As we were there for 2 weeks it was not good enough. Flight of stairs within apartment to get to rooms which was not mentioned. Hole in living room wall, was told it had been like that for some time and was down to the landlord. Entrance was within a court yard full of over flowing bins from the back of a restaurant. The photo in the ad didnt show it how it is now. Constant bottle emptying, lots of noise. Shown where to park but always trapped by other cars/vans so problems leaving as well as space not being available on many occasions. Although large no smoking sign on wall outside workers smoking on door step which seeped into apartment. Black out curtains preventing light as no nets up so workers looking into apartment when curtains were open. If we had known about the entrance being next to bins, constant noise, stairs, constant smell of food from restaurant and lack of parking we would have not rented. The pictures in the ad could only have been from when it was first rented.

Perfect for what we needed and would stay again.

Fantastic location. Close to shops, restaurants and local sites. Host very accommodating and kept in touch.

A couple of bits were a little tired, a loose tile here and there. Coffee was out of date though still useable.

Good size, nice apartment and a helpful host

The host was very helpful and very easy to communicate with. The apartment was a good size for what we needed, was very comfortable and was well stocked. Transport access was great as it is just off of the main road so very easy to get to and from places.

Although there is parking, the parking is extremely tight so not great if you have a larger car. On the second night, we couldn't get in to the space. We also had some dirty crockery when we arrived (a bowl still had milk and cereal in from the previous occupants).

There was a strong smell of smoke which was a shame as we specifically chose this apartment as it said it was non smoking. It even lingered on our clothes.

Very clean and well appointed apartment. The WiFi was very good and stable. Location was central to Hoddesdon, and it's main street. The price was good value for money, and the owner very helpful.

The heating was not put on until I arrived and the apartment took a bit of time to warm up. I found the mattress uncomfy. The apartment is a little awkward to find and the main entrance opens out into a commercial car park / alleyway. Hoddesdon itself is pretty uninspiring.

central location. close to shops etc

mattress a bit lumpy and pillows too soft . Hige cobwebs & spiders all over the place . no spare sheets or towels . fridge shelf broken n held together with bluetac causing a glass bottle to fall when the fridge was opened . patio windows dirty & very hard to lock & unlock . need a safety tread mat and a grab bar installed in the bath / shower . constant compressor noise from the car workshop. tacky workmanship on the floors.

Comfortable, safe and modern property. Would stay again.

Convenient location, close to local amenities. The property is modern, clean and includes a parking space although I didn't need it. There's a restaurant around the corner which does good cakes and walks to the country/fields nearby (Dobb's Weir)

The only issue is the internet is slow (9mbits) but this is due to the area not the property. It's okay for normal YouTube/Netflix etc but if you need to do large downloads it may frustate you

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Julie was very helpful. As an essential worker it was perfect.

Right next to major retail shops for anything you need. Thrilled the fridge had a freezer compartment for icecream etc.! Great broadband connection. Warm and cosy apartment. As an essential worker it was so much better than a hotel (who are not doing food at the moment) as I could cook and eat and move about in my own space for the week.

I have no complaints whatsoever - I imagine maybe parking might be an issue after lockdown eases but I had no problem.
