Great size property but lacking in decor and finish.

Lovely spacious lounge, with enough seating for 5 people or more, to have space to sit and watch TV. Big kitchen and dining table. 2 bathrooms. 3 bedrooms. Outside space. Great location near beach and shops. Beds were clean. Good shower. Bath was good. Nice host. Gave us partial refund as good will gesture for some things that weren't to full expectations. Basic decor finish, but great size property for the price.

Lovely size property, but decor is very tired, and floor boards are lifting in places. En suite lino flooring was peeling up. Hot water in one bathroom sink did not work. Needed more thorough cleaning, as cobwebs present, and dirty marks on walls. Majority of place was clean enough. Host was very nice, and gave us partial refund for inconvenience. Over all, place is fit for purpose, and is a good size for 6 people, and we had a nice stay.

Excellent Great value!

I thought the Vance Retreat was a great place to stay it was very clean cosy and overall great value for money . I would highly recommend to friends and family when they’re looking for a great place to stay in Blackpool . Location everything was just a short walk away shops beach etc which was also a bonus . Will definitely be rebooking in the near future.

There’s nothing I personally didn’t like about my stay here . I personally feel an air fryer would be a good idea in the kitchen due to convenience while staying here. Maybe put a light bulb with a dimmer in the living room just so you can choose how bright you want it to be this is just me looking for things and being picky I guess .

Great place to stay

Such a great apartment . Even a bunk bed for my grandson which is better than a sofa bed and it was in my daughter's room so he needn't feel worried. We all loved the proximity. I dont think it's in a great area but we had no trouble.

Staying during my daughters dance competition at winter gardens

Property was very spacious. It was well designed with everything needed. The location is ideally situated right in the centre of everything but far enough not to be bothered by noise. The host is brilliant with communication. Added bonus from my own stay, the apartment was well heated during a very cold spell

Good choice overall, though it wouldn't take much to make improvements.

I booked the one bedroom apartment which was well equipped plenty of hangars, kitchen utensils and equipment. Good size overall and a comfortable bed. Very good communication. It was a close and easy walk to the Winter Gardens. Felt safe and secure on the first floor.

Could have been cleaner ie mould in shower cubicle. Cleaning products ie scourer and j cloth would have been handy to use in the kitchen and some sort of shelf for toiletries/ towel rail in the bathroom would have been helpful.

Fantastic Landlord, highly recommended stay.

Darek the landlord went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. He is very professional and friendly. The property was very clean and tidy and had everything equipped to meet our needs. Thankyou again.

Great wee apartment in town

Clean apartment, a few minutes walk from beach, Winter Gardens and not far from train station. Although central location, the apartment block and area was quiet. Facilities were mostly good and loved that a standing fan had been provided as it was very hot weather when we were there. Apartment had been decorated well with nice furnishings. It was good to have the separate bedroom and the sofa bed in kitchen area was manageable for 2 nights stay though not the most comfortable.

We had only been left 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel for 3 guests which wasn't ideal. The shower has sliding doors with a small access area which was a bit of a tight squeeze to get in.

Defo worth the stay!

The bed was amazing and the place felt very homey and lovely presentation.

The hotel opposite us had people out all night long being loud while being intoxicated and people nearly getting into fights!

Poor TV - Hotel seems unfinished.

Close to Morrisons shop, as most shops in Blackpool seem empty. Decent Bed. Shower was hot. Place was clean.

Im the Director of a event held in Winter Gardens. We thought we'd pay more to have a nice place from what pictures showed. We've been in probably over 400 hotels over the years. Room 6 😔 NO TV - No basic channels, TV didnt work no signal and when it did it was Netflix which you have to provide. 😔2 Toliet Rolls. ( 4 day stay) I'd suggest you put some more in a cupboard somewhere. 😔Windows covered in bird poo and there is some guy naked in the next window, lying in bed on the right. 😔Hotel seems unfinished, theres no book to tell you WIFI code you need to call the landlord, there some picture frame with no pictures (see picture attached what I mean) 😔Outside is rough like Madmax, we had police and ambulances outside in the road, I'd suggest you get CCTV. 😔Could hear next door talking all night with music on till 2am, I'd suggest "quite signs" around the hall and in the rooms. 😔Also as a small note there is no side lights on bed, you either had big light on or nothing. To add we called up the landlord about TV they said no one watches tv and if they do its Netflix, see attached photo. You should stay in your own hotel for a week before hiring it out.

Great stay, boys are happy to come back for a stay

I loved the whole place. Large apartment, very spacious and lots of bedrooms and beds. The bathrooms were clean and there are a few things that need to be fixed.

Bathroom toilet roll holder fell off the wall in the back bsthroom Bathroom lino was coming up from the shower in the back bathroom The coat rack was falling off the wall so it was swinging. The clock wasn't working And the curtain hold back was duck taped on the wall Baby cot didn't fit in any bedrooms so he had to sleep in a big bed with us

Brilliant location and super comfy bed. Host very responsive when we needed another towel.

It would have been good to have had hooks on which to hang our towels in the bathroom and the blind in the kitchen didn’t have a cord to pull it back up once it was down. Just minor maintenance issues. The website gave me the option of paying more for an upgrade, but when I spoke to the owner (?)to clarify what the difference was, he told me that there were no deluxe apartments, and therefore, if I had have paid to upgrade, I wouldn’t have got a better apartment, which is an unscrupulous way of getting customers to pay more for nothing, whilst thinking you will be getting a more luxurious apartment when you arrive. Thankfully I called for more information first, and so wasn’t lured in to the deception.

Amazing stay!

I honestly cannot rate Vance Retreat highly enough! the bed was so comfy and lovely! the shower was a little low on pressure but was more than manageable not to mention warm! (an issue I have struggled with in other properties). The host was so attentive! checked how we were, was always fast with replies, and accommodated all requests! There were good amenities such as glasses, salt, cups and pans. FAB location and close to everything! good internet.

Incredibly God value for money, the best host I’ve come across in years

An amazing host could not have been more attentive. Even came out at midnight to fix a heating problem. Nothing was too much trouble

Really small things like dishwasher tablets/tea towels kitchen roll would have helped or if we’d have know to take our own. However such minor inconveniences one could complain at the price

De locatie was uitstekend en ideaal gelegen voor een bezoek aan de Winter Garden. De host was zeer vriendelijk en reageerde snel op eventuele vragen. Bovendien woont de host in de nabije omgeving en is een zeer aangenaam persoon.

In Engeland heb je toch best veel hotels en appartementen met tapijt, , is wat minder hygiënisch? Vind ik echt een nadeel. (vinyl of laminaat)
