Very usable spot for the Hadrian's Wall Path and overall a decent area.
The lock on my door didn't seem to work and one of the staff entered, unaware that the room was occupied. I did book it last minute so perhaps the info was not passed on.

The location is great
We didn't like that on friday the owner had the bar open till after 12, music still bouncing at 0130. Then didnt lock up till after 0200. With drunks leaving at around 0200 singing there head off.
He apologised the next day through the staff as he avoided us. We stayed another night. In our single room with a double bed crammed in it.
I would stay at somewhere else if you can.
