Everything is perfect! Giving it a score of 10 is not enough; I wish I could give it a 15. The location is central, the owner is extremely responsive and the finishings in the apartment are exquisite. I have traveled to over 80 countries and can emphatically say that this is the best accommodation that our family have stayed in. The soaring ceilings of this apartment gives it a wonderful sense of light and space. The kitchen is well-kitted, the beds are sumptuously comfortable and everything is immaculately clean. We arrived and to our delight discovered a record player with a wide selection of LP disks: Rachmaninov piano concertos, Brahms Deutsche Requiem, Mahler symphonies etc. And some pop music / light listening too. The curation of these pieces can only indicate to you the top-notch taste of the owner - you can see the manifestation of it in every detail of the apartment from the sleek cooking hob to the ultra-modern shower. Even the guest book is beautifully laminated and bound like a piece of artwork. No detail has escaped the attention. More importantly than these furnishings is the deep kindness and empathy of the owner: something that cannot be bought with money. My husband was unwell on our checkout day. Without us asking, the owner proactively offered to let us leave a couple of hours later than normal so that he could have extra rest. This is hospitality and humanity at its best, and not something that a mere Booking.com rating could easily capture. I would strongly encourage you to stay here and mention it to all your friends visiting Heidelberg too. You will not regret it and I will personally try to stay there again, and again, and again in the future.
