Great Hallingbury Lodges

All Staff were welcoming and helpful from check in to dinner. The lodge was well designed, clean and well equipped for the space. Furnishings felt new. There were Nice toiletries and plenty of toilet paper. We appreciated the washing up brushes/sponges and spare bin liner. The bed was comfortable, the water was hot! The view across the lake and situation amongst the mature trees is beautiful. There are only two cabins so our stay was private. The path is well lit. The pizza tray crisped our pizza and morning croissants perfectly. We enjoyed a drink at the small restaurant bar which was comfortable; there is a small outdoor patio too. Other guests took dinner; desserts looked well presented. Parking was near to the cabin and complimentary once our registration was registered at check in. We would certainly stay again; a much more personal airside stay than soulless options. The WiFi was consistently strong and the TV had a good viewing range. A fuel station is minutes away and the airport is a short hop.Ear plugs are provided, planes stop flying between 11pm- 6am. Check out was simple. Even better if: The sofa cushions need a shampoo to match the pristine standard of the cabin Hair conditioner and a plug in night light in the bathroom would be a bonus Some guests may dislike the plane noise; this didn’t spoil our sleep

Fun cabins that had what you need for an overnight or several days stay. The bar / restaurant served good food. Very near Stansted Airport.

Und hat es sehr gut gefallen, sehr schön und vollständig ausgestattet Tinyhaus mit Außensitzplatz. Sehr saubere und gepflegte Anlage. Wie beschrieben ist es durch den nahegelegenen Flughafen laut, dies war uns vorher bekannt, aufgrund der Beschreibung- daher kein Punktabzug.

The cabin was 1 mile from the runway at Stansted and in final approach which is not mentioned in advert. Planes landing from 6am to 2.30am every 2 mins. We could not sleep and the noise was deafening, you could not do anything. Also clearly the cabin had not been checked as the fire alarm started on the 2nd morning and could not be turned off and we were moved to a room across the road just to sleep in. Also the remote from the tv was dead and the shower head was broken.
