Great Hallingbury Lodges

Everything about the place was amazing. We enjoyed every second there and mourned the fact that we only had a few hours before our flight.

The only problem we encountered was regarding the journey there, from the nearest bus stop we had to walk across big roads (six cars large) with no sidewalk, let alone crossroads.

This place is absolute perfection! Incredibly clean So peaceful Thought of everything you may need Really friendly staff Great location Just amazing!

Wonderful setting, perfect for me my wife my two kids and are little dog, the food in the restaurant was amazing.

We booked the lodge because the location looked beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature. My husband specifically chose it so he could relax, meditate and cook his own meals during the stay. Unfortunately, shortly after arriving and taking a shower, there was a power outage in the lodge. My husband reported the issue and the staff moved him to a hotel room instead of another lodge. This meant he no longer had the kitchen facilities that were the main reason for booking the lodge. He had already bought groceries to prepare his meals for lunch and dinner during the stay, but because he was moved to a hotel room without cooking facilities, he had to throw the food away. As a result, he had to eat at the restaurant or pub every day, which ended up costing significantly more than expected. When the issue was reported at reception, the staff member responded in a sarcastic tone and even asked whether my husband might have touched something to cause the problem, which felt quite unfair and unprofessional given that he had just arrived. While the staff did provide alternative accommodation, the overall experience was disappointing compared to what was originally booked. The location itself is lovely and peaceful, but unfortunately the stay did not meet the expectations we had when booking the lodge.
